New to Grow
Hi, I’m Dinisha, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker dedicated to helping adults navigate anxiety, depression, stress, trauma, relationship challenges, and life transitions. I provide a supportive, nonjudgmental space where clients can feel heard, understood, and empowered to create meaningful change. My approach is compassionate, practical, and collaborative, helping clients build healthier coping skills, improve emotional wellness, and gain clarity while working through life’s challenges.
During our first session, we will spend time getting to know each other and discussing what brought you to therapy. This is a safe, supportive, and judgment-free space where you can share at your own pace. We will talk about your current challenges, goals for therapy, personal strengths, and any concerns you may have about the process. My goal during the first session is to help you feel comfortable, heard, and supported while beginning to build a strong therapeutic connection. Together, we will identify areas you would like to work on and discuss ways therapy can help you move toward healing, balance, and personal growth. You do not have to have everything figured out before starting therapy — we will work through it together.
One of my greatest strengths as a therapist is my ability to create a warm, genuine, and supportive environment where clients feel comfortable being themselves. I understand that starting therapy can feel overwhelming, and I strive to make the process approachable and empowering. I take a compassionate yet practical approach to therapy by helping clients not only process emotions and experiences, but also develop realistic coping strategies they can apply in everyday life. I value authenticity, active listening, and meeting clients where they are without judgment. I have experience working with individuals facing anxiety, stress, trauma, relationship issues, self-esteem challenges, and life transitions. I believe in helping clients recognize their strengths, build resilience, and make meaningful changes that support long-term emotional wellness.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
Converting Version) I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help you understand how your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors are connected. Many of my clients come in feeling overwhelmed, overthinking situations, or struggling with stress in relationships. In our work together, we’ll identify unhelpful thought patterns, challenge them, and replace them with more balanced, realistic perspectives. I also focus on practical strategies you can use in your daily life—so you’re not just talking in sessions, you’re actually seeing change outside of them. My approach is supportive but direct, helping you gain clarity, improve emotional control, and feel more confident in how you respond to situations.
