Hi, I'm Tiffani. I want to warmly welcome you and commend you for taking the courageous step to seek therapy. Life's challenges are unique to each of us, and it's not uncommon to feel overwhelmed at times. My aim is to offer a supportive and safe space where you feel truly heard and understood. Together, we'll explore your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors to help you overcome obstacles and work towards feeling your best.
After a first session with me, I hope you will feel a release of stress, lighter and encouraged.
I'm told my greatest strengths are creating a space where people feel safe, truly heard, and accepted. I take the time to understand your story and what matters most to you. I'm thoughtful and collaborative in my approach-offering support, practical tools, and fresh perspectives to help you navigate challenges and move toward the kind of life you want. My goal is to walk alongside you with care, curiosity, and encouragement every step of the way.
I focus on working with adults to address a range of challenges, including anxiety, depression, life transitions, stress management, and motivation. In our sessions, we’ll explore how your thoughts influence your feelings and actions, with the goal of helping you understand and manage these dynamics. My role is to challenge and guide you, equipping you with practical tools to cope with stressors and build a healthier relationship with yourself and others. I have over 10 years of professional experience as a Marriage and Family Therapist working with children, adolescents, adults, families, and groups. In the past, I worked in public schools, psychiatric hospitals, foster care, private practice, and outpatient programs. I earned my Master's degree from National University and am currently licensed in Ohio.
I often incorporate CBT techniques into my work because it helps people understand how their thoughts, feelings, and actions are connected. Together, we look at patterns that might be keeping them stuck and explore new ways of thinking and responding that feel more helpful. CBT gives us practical tools to manage things like anxiety, stress, or low mood, and I really like how it can be adapted to fit each person's unique needs and goals.
I believe it's important to understand and respect each person's background, culture, and values. In our sessions, I take time to learn about what's meaningful to you and how your life experiences have shaped who you are. I create a safe space where you feel seen and understood. My goals is to work with you in a way that honors your identity and supports your unique path to healing.
I often use DBT techniques, to help people learn skills for managing emotions, handling stress, and improving relationships. In sessions. we might explore ways to stay present in the moment, set boundaries, or respond more calmly in tough situations.
I approach therapy with an understanding that past experiences, especially painful or overwhelming ones, can shape how we think, feel, and relate to others. Trauma-informed care means I work to create a safe, supportive space, where you feel respected, heard, and in control of your healing process. I move at your pace and always aim to build trust and safety first.
