I am a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner passionate about helping adults navigate anxiety, depression, eating disorders, trauma, stress, and life transitions. I believe that seeking support is a courageous step, and I strive to create a welcoming, nonjudgmental space where you feel comfortable sharing your experiences and concerns. My approach is collaborative, compassionate, and personalized to your unique needs. I work alongside clients to better understand their challenges, identify strengths, and develop practical strategies that support lasting emotional wellness. Whether you are facing overwhelming stress, struggling with mood symptoms, or working through a major life change, my goal is to help you feel supported, empowered, and equipped with tools that can improve your overall well-being. With more than 20 years of healthcare experience, I take a holistic approach to care that considers the whole person rather than focusing solely on symptoms. Together, we will create realistic goals and a treatment plan designed to help you build healthier coping skills, increase self-awareness, and make meaningful progress toward the life you want to live.

I am a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) passionate about helping adults navigate anxiety, depression, eating disorders, stress, trauma, and life transitions.

First session

During our first session, we will spend time getting to know each other and discussing what has brought you to treatment. We will talk about your current concerns, symptoms, personal history, past treatment experiences, and the goals you hope to achieve. My goal is to create a comfortable and supportive environment where you feel heard, respected, and understood. There is no pressure to have everything figured out before we meet. Together, we will begin developing a personalized treatment plan and identify practical next steps that support your mental health and overall wellness.

Strengths

I work with adults who are experiencing anxiety, depression, eating disorders, ADHD, trauma-related concerns, mood disorders, stress, and life transitions. Many of my clients come to therapy feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or unsure of how to move forward, and they are looking for support, guidance, and practical tools to help them regain balance. I strive to create an environment where clients feel comfortable being themselves and confident that they will be treated with compassion and respect. Together, we focus on building coping skills, increasing self-awareness, strengthening resilience, and creating realistic goals that support long-term mental health and overall well-being.

Ideal clients

I work best with adults experiencing anxiety, depression, eating disorders, trauma-related concerns, mood disorders, stress, and life transitions. I strive to create a supportive, compassionate, and nonjudgmental environment where clients feel heard and empowered in their treatment journey. My approach focuses on helping clients build coping skills, improve emotional wellness, strengthen self-awareness, and develop realistic goals that support long-term mental health and overall well-being.

Treatment methods

Acceptance and commitment (ACT)

I use Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to help clients develop a healthier relationship with difficult thoughts and emotions. ACT focuses on mindfulness, acceptance, and identifying personal values so that clients can respond to challenges in ways that align with what matters most to them. This approach can be helpful for managing anxiety, depression, trauma, eating disorders, and everyday life stressors while promoting meaningful and lasting change.

Motivational Interviewing

I use Motivational Interviewing to help clients explore their goals, strengthen motivation for change, and build confidence in their ability to move forward. This collaborative approach encourages self-reflection and helps clients identify practical steps toward healthier behaviors, improved coping skills, and greater overall well-being.
