Hello and welcome! I hold a Master's in Social Work and I have been a licensed social worker since 2018. I've had the privilege of working with clients across the lifespan in various settings, which has enriched my understanding of diverse perspectives. Throughout this work, I have found a passion for translating my community-based focus to provide direct therapy to clients.

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

Within the therapeutic space, clients can expect to build and strengthen their coping skills to find balance and unlearn the often harmful patterns shaped by their experiences. By fostering a supportive environment for exploration, clients can confront challenges, build resilience, and cultivate deeper self-awareness and connections with others.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

The diverse range of my previous practice experience has shaped an eclectic approach to therapy, where the client is centered as the expert in their own lives. At the center of my practice is assisting clients in embracing the power of vulnerability in action. Using evidence-based practices, I guide clients in reconnecting with their authentic selves through a trauma-informed lens.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I am best suited to serve clients who are interested in unlearning adopted behaviors and maladaptive coping skills in order to survive challenging situations. In my practice, clients uncover their true selves, free from unhealthy coping strategies. By gently challenging distorted core beliefs, I empower you to cultivate self-compassion and pursue your authentic path.

My treatment methods

Acceptance and commitment (ACT)

At times we may struggle with others invalidating our experience, and sometimes that comes from within. I work with clients to fully embrace their experience as their truth and come to terms with what that means.

Trauma Informed Care

I maintain a trauma-informed perspective in my therapeutic approach and view each client through an intersectional lens.

Compassion Focused

I show up to sessions to create a space where clients feel comfortable and supported in their vulnerability. I am a positive, affirming therapist and work hard to maintain this rapport with my clients.

Culturally Sensitive Therapy

Each client is the expert in their lives, and each person's path looks very different. Honoring those differences is how I create space for vulnerability and openness.

EMDR

EMDR is a way to reprocess traumatic events while your brain untangles the story of what happened. EMDR is evidence-based to provide relief for trauma disorders and somatic symptoms of trauma.
