Hello. My name is Crystal, and I am a licensed master's level social worker in the state of Michigan. I went to Eastern Michigan University for both of my degrees. I have been working in the field for over 25 years, in a number of different areas. I enjoy helping others realize their potential, set their goals and work towards achieving them. I love helping people develop new coping skills for dealing with life's challenges.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

Clients can expect to feel safe and supported from our very first session. We spend that first session getting to know each other and talk through their history. We try to set goals for what they want to accomplish while in therapy, so we have a starting point.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I feel my greatest strength is incorporating humor and a sense of calm into my sessions. I want my clients to feel like they are talking to a friend or family member. But unlike talking to a friend/family, I have 25 years of experience helping provide people with the tools they need to accomplish their goals.

My treatment methods

Strength-Based

I focus on meeting the client where they are at. I want to help them determine their strengths and build on their coping skills to help them deal with the struggles that they are facing.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

It is so important for people to understanding why their thoughts/feelings cause them to respond the way that they do to stress. The cognitive behavioral approach teaches people how to understand their triggers.
