I have a background in crisis intervention and working with people at different levels of care who are dealing with anxiety and mood-related challenges. I primarily use DBT and ACT, and I like to keep things practical by helping people build coping skills, make sense of what they’re experiencing, and feel more steady and empowered in their everyday lives. In the room, I show up as warm, down-to-earth, and often a little humorous. I’ll meet you where you’re at, but I’ll also gently challenge you when it feels helpful. I really believe people are the authors of their own stories, even when earlier chapters haven’t felt like their choice. My goal is to support you in writing what comes next in a way that feels more aligned, manageable, and meaningful. I also feel it is important to stay mindful of the different identities, experiences, and privileges we all carry, and how those shape the way we move through the world and the healing process.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In our first session, we’ll take some time to get to know each other and talk about what’s bringing you to therapy right now. We’ll also look at any past experiences you’ve had with therapy like what has felt helpful, what didn’t, and what you might want to be different this time around. From there, we’ll talk about what you’re hoping for moving forward and what you want our work together to feel like, so we can start building a foundation that feels comfortable, collaborative, and supportive for your journey.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

My approach is really grounded in compassion and honesty. I want you to feel like you have space to show up, talk things through, and be fully yourself without judgment. As we build trust and get to know each other, I’ll also be direct when it’s helpful and gently challenge you when it supports your growth. Not to push for the sake of pushing, but to help you notice patterns and move toward what you actually want for yourself in a way that feels steady and supportive.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

Clients who are motivated for change and are willing to lean in self-exploration. Clients’ concerns could be life transitions, navigating big life stressors, increasing of anxiety and panic, concerns with their depression, and clients who really want to dig into learning skills to cope while wanting to create meaningful change in their lives. Therapy goals could be to explore generational patterns, working on interpersonal relationships and boundaries, practicing self-care and self-compassion, wanting to manage their emotions instead of being managed BY their emotions.

My treatment methods

Acceptance and commitment (ACT)

ACT helps explore different ways we can all be flexibile, adapatable, and resilient no matter what emotions, thoughts, or situations come up. It helps us get into that space of meeting our emotions vs running from our emotions when they’re more painful or uncomfortable.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

DBT is really great treatment method to start learning more skills to manage your emotions, tolerance distress, and become more present within yourself. I like to view DBT and its many skills as the tools to help folks dive deeper into their healing journeys, but in a way that is healthy instead of unhealthy.
