I enjoy working with adults through anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, and relationship challenges and have over a decade of experience. In our work together, I bring a grounded, compassionate, and curious approach that helps slow things down so we can understand what’s actually happening beneath the surface—not just the symptoms, but the patterns, experiences, and meanings behind them. I integrate trauma-informed care, DBT skills, and attachment-based work to help you build both insight and practical tools for change. Clients often come to me when they’re ready for something to feel different, even if they can’t fully explain what needs to shift yet. Together, we work to make sense of what has been shaping your emotional world and relationships, and we focus on creating new ways of responding that feel more steady, connected, and aligned with the life you want to build.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In our first session, the focus is on getting a clear understanding of what’s bringing you to therapy right now and what you’re hoping might feel different. You don’t need to have everything figured out before we meet—many people come in feeling unsure about where to start. We’ll begin by talking through what’s been going on recently, what’s feeling most difficult, and any patterns or concerns you’ve noticed over time. I’ll also ask questions to help me understand your history and context so I can get a fuller picture of your experience, but we’ll go at a pace that feels comfortable for you. This session is also a chance for you to get a sense of how I work and whether it feels like a good fit. You’re welcome to ask questions, share what you’re hoping for in therapy, and notice how it feels to talk with me about what’s been weighing on you. By the end of our time together, we’ll begin to identify some initial themes and possible directions for our work moving forward.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

I focus on helping you understand the patterns underneath them. Many of the people I work with are intelligent, self-aware, and motivated to change, yet still find themselves repeating cycles in relationships, emotions, or behaviors that feel confusing or hard to break. Rather than rushing into quick solutions, I take time to slow things down with you so we can really understand what’s happening beneath the surface. Clients often describe feeling both supported and gently challenged in our work—like they finally have space to make sense of things they’ve been carrying for a long time. My role is to help you connect the dots in a way that leads to lasting change, not just temporary relief.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

You may be someone who has spent a lot of time trying to understand yourself and improve your life, yet still finds yourself returning to the same frustrating patterns. Perhaps you know something needs to change, but you're not quite sure why you feel stuck or what keeps getting in the way. You are curious, thoughtful, and open to exploring new perspectives, even when doing so feels uncomfortable. You don't need to have all the answers before starting therapy—you only need a willingness to look inward and consider that there may be more to your story than you've been able to see on your own. If you're ready to better understand yourself, uncover the roots of what's keeping you stuck, and create lasting change rather than temporary fixes, we may be a great fit. Together, we'll work to make sense of the patterns that have been shaping your life, bringing clarity to experiences that may have felt confusing or overwhelming. As those pieces begin to come together, you can begin to experience greater freedom, self-understanding, and confidence as you move toward the life you want.

My treatment methods

Trauma Informed Care

If you have experienced difficult or overwhelming events, you may find yourself feeling stuck, anxious, disconnected, emotionally reactive, or repeating patterns that no longer serve you. In our work together, we will focus on understanding how your past experiences may be affecting your life today while creating a safe and supportive space for healing. Rather than judging your reactions, we will explore how they may have developed as ways of coping and surviving. As therapy progresses, you can gain a deeper understanding of yourself, strengthen your ability to manage difficult emotions, develop healthier ways of relating to yourself and others, and move toward a life that feels more grounded, meaningful, and aligned with who you want to be.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

If you often feel overwhelmed by your emotions, find yourself reacting in ways you later regret, struggle in relationships, or feel stuck in patterns that aren't working for you, therapy can help you build the skills needed to navigate life's challenges more effectively. Together, we will work on understanding your emotional experiences, managing distress without making things worse, communicating your needs more confidently, and responding to difficult situations in ways that align with your values and goals. As you develop these skills, you may find that you feel more in control of your emotions, more confident in your relationships, and better equipped to handle life's ups and downs with resilience and self-compassion.

Attachment-based

If you find yourself repeating the same painful patterns in relationships, struggling to trust others, fearing rejection, or feeling disconnected from yourself and the people you care about, our work together can help you understand where those patterns came from and how they continue to affect your life today. In therapy, I provide a safe, supportive relationship where you can explore your experiences without judgment, build greater self-awareness, and develop new ways of relating to yourself and others. As we work together, you can begin to feel more secure in your relationships, communicate your needs more effectively, set healthier boundaries, and experience greater confidence, connection, and emotional well-being.
