I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) who has been in the field for approximately 20 years, and 14 of those years licensed. I obtained my Master's of Arts in Counseling Psychology from Framingham State University in Massachusetts in 2005. I have worked in a variety of settings throughout the years, including inpatient, residential, and outpatient agencies. My most recent work is being a Counselor in a local middle school. I look to be the best possible guide I can be for whatever life stressors are currently going on for you. I work best with clients who are in an adjustment period in their life, have anxiety symptoms, have depression symptoms, or have a history of traumatic experiences. I work with teens, young adults, and adults.
In the first session, I spend some time asking a lot of questions to get to know what symptoms you are experiencing. I also like to get to know you on a personal level, so taking time to ask questions about who you are outside of your symptoms is important to me.
My biggest strengths are being able to meet you where you’re at and to include you in the process of therapy. This is your journey!
I usually use a mixture of CBT and DBT (dialectical behavioral therapy) to address symptoms and work towards change with a client.
