By my major, I am a clinical psychologist. I have worked in clinics for many years, which has allowed me to gain experience in differential diagnosis, which I consider crucial for understanding the symptoms and causes of what is happening with the client's psyche. Additionally, I adhere to the principle of "do no harm," which guides me in my practice.

I believe it is essential for therapists themselves to be in ongoing supervision and, if necessary, in therapy, to mitigate the risks of burnout and countertransference.

Therapy is a collaborative effort between the psychotherapist and the client, the dynamics and results of which depend on the rapport and consistency established between them. I believe it is essential for therapists themselves to be in ongoing supervision and, if necessary, in therapy, to mitigate the risks of burnout and countertransference.

First session

The first session ideally allows me to form hypotheses about your condition and explain how psychotherapy might be helpful to you. And I always suggest to the client, after the first meeting, to consider whether they want to enter into sequential therapy and schedule a second meeting.

Strengths

Throughout my 15 years of counseling, I am absolutely certain that continuous education and supervision are essential for maintaining professionalism. I consider my extensive experience working in a clinic to be a great asset, as it has allowed me to observe symptoms, differentiate diagnoses, and identify cases where an organic component underlies the symptoms.

Ideal clients

My ideal clients are teens and adults who are navigating: · Personality Disorders (e.g., Borderline, Narcissistic, Avoidant), where entrenched life patterns cause significant distress. · Complex Mood Disorders, like depression and anxiety, that feel chronic or tied to deeper identity and relational wounds.

Treatment methods

Schema Therapy

Schema-focused therapy (SFT) is a form of psychotherapy that combines elements from cognitive-behavioral therapy, attachment theory and gestalt therapy. It is designed to help individuals identify and change deeply entrenched patterns of thinking and behavior that are often rooted in early life experiences. These patterns, known as schemas, can be self-defeating and lead to emotional distress and relationship problems. SFT has been particularly effective in treating borderline personality disorder, among other conditions.

Psychodynamic

Psychodynamic psychotherapy is a method based on the ideas of Sigmund Freud, which focuses on unconscious conflicts that influence behavior and emotions, and past experiences, especially childhood ones, that shape current problems. The main goal is to help the person become aware of these hidden motives, defenses, and patterns (insight) and work through them to improve self-understanding, relationships, and emotional well-being, addressing problems such as depression, anxiety, trauma, and interpersonal difficulties.

Acceptance and commitment (ACT)

Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) is a modern approach to CBT that teaches individuals not to fight unpleasant thoughts and feelings, but to accept them and prevent them from controlling their lives. Instead of suppressing emotions, ACT helps develop psychological flexibility, mindfulness, and the ability to act in accordance with one's true values to build a meaningful life. The main principles are: acceptance, cognitive defusion (detachment from thoughts), contact with the present moment, "self as context" (the observer), values, and committed action.
