My background comes with a broad range of experience working in settings and with populations such as individual, group, acute hospital, older adult services, residential, education, veterans affairs, and in research.
In our first session together, here's what you can expect
Prior to our first session, we will connect by phone briefly to discuss any initial questions. The first session is for getting to know what is important to you and listening to understand your past, present, and current goals. My avenues are treatment, intervention, and/or support as needed. You are welcome to contact me to ask questions that will help you determine your next step.
The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions
Care is approached by considering the whole person. Understanding an individual's experience is influenced by all aspects of its contributions. Symptoms are the expression of a part (mental, physical, emotional, spiritual, ...) needing support.
The clients I'm best positioned to serve
Various conditions and stages in life benefit from selective methods which may include process therapy, an existential focus, a variety of behavioral approaches, or treatment specific evidence-based protocols. We can collaboratively choose the most suitable approach.
Supportive
Using different methods and strategies for the person and the issue brought into session is my approach. Cognitive, behavioral, insight oriented and other widely used treatments may provide benefit.
