New to Grow
Hello! My name is Yelena, a Licensed Professional Counselor since 2006. I specialize in supporting individuals through complex life transitions and emotional challenges. My approach centers on helping clients develop resilience, self-understanding, and healthy coping strategies, to help navigate issues such as depression, anxiety, career difficulties, and interpersonal dynamics. I create a supportive environment where individuals can explore their emotional needs, build self-esteem, and develop meaningful strategies for personal growth.
In our first session, we will discuss what brought you to therapy and I will talk about most appropriate treatment options we can utilize to help you achieve your goals.
My work is grounded in appreciating each person's unique journey and providing tailored, empathetic guidance.
My practice focuses on addressing diverse needs, including women's issues, multicultural concerns, caregiver stress, family problems, and challenges related to aging and immigration. I like working with adult clients, age 18 and up. I like working with the younger population and helping them navigate careers and everyday obstacles. I enjoy working with the elderly population, because they have the most interesting childhood stories to tell.

Psychoanalytic
While Cognitive Behavioral Therapy teach coping skills to use in the present and the future, Talk Therapy (Psychoanalytic) helps explore the past, which is important when unlearning behaviors that are driven by Core Beliefs.
