Beryl Sabb
I am Beryl Sabb, a licensed therapist dedicated to helping clients find healing, clarity, and balance. I work with adults experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship challenges, and the effects of domestic violence. My approach is collaborative and compassionate, focused on creating a safe space where you can explore your experiences and build practical tools for growth. I draw from evidence-based therapies such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Motivational Interviewing (MI) to help you manage emotions, strengthen coping skills, and improve communication. Together, we’ll focus on what matters most to you—whether that’s reducing stress, rebuilding self-esteem, or creating healthier relationships. Therapy is a journey of self-discovery and empowerment. My goal is to help you feel supported, understood, and capable of making meaningful, lasting change.
Treatment methods
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
Because CBT is collaborative, structured, and goal-oriented, I find that it helps clients identify unhelpful patterns, develop new ways of thinking, and practice new behaviors to support long-term change. Once clients see the connection between their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors they are more likely to try to change unhelpful thinking patterns. I use other therapeutic treatments as well but, this one is one that I use most.
Solution-Focused Brief Treatment
I find that Solution Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) helps motivated clients because the focus is on client strengths and solutions rather than problems. This works well for shorter or limited sessions. I found ti to be easy to incorporate other treatment modalities (CBT, Motivational Interviewing, and mindfulness) with SFBT for better treatment outcomes.
Dialectical Behavior (DBT)
I use DBT to help clients learn emotion regulation skills and effective coping. mechanisms. My experience is that clients appreciate the multifaceted approaches incorporating mindfulness and self-awareness while learning practical tools that they can apply in different situations.
Motivational Interviewing
I often use Motivational Interviewing (MI) to help clients evaluate readiness for change. Clients are accepted and supported at their level and report that they don't feel negatively judged. I am drawn to the focus on using open-ended questions and reflective listening.
