I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over a decade of experience working with individuals in various settings including individually, those in residential care and those in an inpatient hospital setting. Being a woman and a mother allows me to bring lived understanding, empathy, and attunement to the unique challenges women and mothers face. My personal experience helps me relate to the emotional demands, identity shifts, and pressures that can contribute to anxiety, depression, and unhealthy ways to cope including, disordered eating and substance use. This perspective supports my ability to create a safe, validating space where clients feel understood while working collaboratively toward healing, self‑compassion, and sustainable change.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In our first session, you can expect a relaxed, supportive conversation focused on getting to know you and what brings you to therapy. I take a down‑to‑earth, collaborative approach and appreciate humor as a way to help ease nerves and create connection. We’ll talk about your goals, what’s been feeling challenging, and what you want from therapy—at a pace that feels comfortable for you. My goal is to create a safe, nonjudgmental space where you feel heard, supported, and understood from the very beginning.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

As a therapist, I am down‑to‑earth, supportive, and approachable, helping clients feel at ease quickly—even when discussing difficult topics. My ability to use humor thoughtfully allows me to build connection, reduce shame, and make therapy feel human rather than intimidating. As a woman and mother, I offer an added layer of understanding for women navigating anxiety, depression, disordered eating, and substance use—particularly within the context of identity, caregiving, and societal pressure. Clinically, I incorporate evidence‑based approaches like CBT, DBT, and Motivational Interviewing while staying flexible and collaborative. Rather than forcing a one‑size‑fits‑all model, I meet clients where they are at and help them move toward change with compassion, practicality, and respect for their autonomy. My goal is for my clients is that they don’t just feel helped—they feel understood.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I am passionate about working with teens, women, and individuals struggling with burn out, disordered eating and addiction because these experiences are often shaped by unique social pressures, caregiving roles, and expectations around self‑sacrifice. I strive to create a supportive, nonjudgmental space where clients can explore their relationship with food, substances, identity, and self‑worth, while building resilience, self‑compassion, and sustainable pathways toward healing and balance.

My treatment methods

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

I have extensive training and experience in utilizing DBT with individuals in various settings, including individual and group sessions, to help manage intense emotional dysregulation. DBT is at the core of my clinical work and is an evidence based treatment helping individuals find acceptance where they are at and move towards the positive change they desire. I incorporate DBT skills to help individuals manage their mental health while improving emotional regulation, interpersonal effectiveness and distress tolerance.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I have extensive training and experience in utilizing CBT with individuals in various settings, including individual and group sessions, to help manage anxiety and unhelpful thought patterns. My clinical work is comprised of CBT methods to help clients with anxiety and addiction by identifying and challenging unhelpful thought patterns that lead to distress and unwanted behaviors. Together, we build practical coping skills, increase awareness of triggers, and develop healthier ways to manage anxiety, cravings, and emotional discomfort. CBT helps clients strengthen problem-solving skills, improve emotional regulation, and support lasting behavior change aligned with their recovery and personal goals.

Motivational Interviewing

As a therapist, I believe that it is important to meet clients where they are at. I use Motivational Interviewing (MI) to help clients explore and strengthen their motivation for change in a supportive, nonjudgmental way. Through collaborative conversations, I help clients identify ambivalence, clarify personal values, and increase confidence in their ability to make meaningful and sustainable changes aligned with goals they have for themselves.
