New to Grow
Hello, I'm a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with over 15 years of professional experience supporting individuals on their journey to healing and personal growth. I've had the privilege of working with adolescents, young adults, and adults from diverse backgrounds across inpatient, outpatient, private practice, and community-based settings. I specialize in helping adult clients navigate anxiety, depression, stress, life transitions, relationships issues, and self-esteem concerns especially during those seasons of life where you may feel stuck, overwhelmed, and disconnected from yourself. My approach is warm, compassionate, genuine, and nonjudgemental. I utilize evidence-based therapeutic practices like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution Focused Therapy, and mindfulness based techniques while incorporating compassion and a person-centered approach to ensure my client feels seen, heard, and supported without judgement. I believe therapy is a space for growth, healing, and self-discovery. Together, we will collaborate to better understand your experiences, I will help you understand your patterns, shift your mindset, and help you develop practical coping strategies to build resilience, and empower you to move forward with clarity, intention, and confidence. My goal is to help you reconnect with your authentic self, build resilience and create meaningful, lasting change. Whether you're working through a difficult chapter or simply seeking clarity and growth, you don't have to do it alone -- I'm here to walk alongside you every step of the way.
During your first session, we’ll focus on getting to know you—at your pace and in a way that feels comfortable and supportive. We’ll talk about what brings you to therapy, the challenges you’ve been facing, and what you hope to gain from the process. I’ll ask some thoughtful questions to better understand your background, current concerns, and any patterns that may be impacting your well-being. This session is also an opportunity for you to ask questions, share what has or hasn’t worked for you in the past, and begin identifying goals for therapy. Together, we’ll start creating a plan that feels realistic, personalized, and aligns with your needs and goals. Most importantly, this is a space where you can show up as you are—without pressure or judgment—while we begin building a strong, trusting therapeutic relationship and laying the foundation for meaningful growth. I will also share how I work, including the use of approaches like CBT, mindfulness, and solution focused strategies so you know what to expect moving forward. Most importantly, this session is about building connection and trust. With that being said, you don't have to have everything figured out- just showing up is a powerful first step.
My approach is warm, nonjudgemental, compassionate, and down-to-earth in creating a safe space where you can be your authentic self. One of my core strengths is my ability to build meaningful connections. Clients often find it easy to open up because I meet you with empathy, compassion, and respect---while also gently challenging you to grow.
My ideal client would consist of young to middle-aged adults navigating life and career transitions, work-life balance challenges, relationship issues, anxiety, and depression along with dealing with other issues such as stress, overthinking, and self-doubt while trying to meet daily demands of life. I want to support clients struggling with self-worth and self-love and help them build confidence, clarity, and a healthier relationship with themselves
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy is used to help you understand how your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors are connected. Together, we identify unhelpful thought patterns, challenge limiting beliefs, and develop practical tools to support healthier thinking, emotional balance, and meaningful change in your daily life.
I utilize Mindfulness-Based Therapy to help you slow down, to become more present, and develop a deeper awareness of your thoughts, emotions, and body by teaching helpful guided techniques and practical tools that will help to manage stress, reduce emotional overwhelm, and help one to respond to life with better clarity, balance, and intention.
Compassion focused therapy helps you to develop a kinder, more supportive relationship with yourself. Together, we explore patterns of self-criticism, build emotional awareness, and strengthen your ability to respond to challenges with self-compassion, resilience, and inner balance.
