LCSW, 22 years of experience
New to Grow
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) based in Pennsylvania, but also provide support to adults in Florida and North Carolina. I integrate approaches suchs as EMDR, somatic practicies, parts work, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to help clients heal from trauma, anxiety, and life transitions. I collaborate with clients to identify and nurture coping skills that resonate with their individual needs and life circumstances while harnessing their personal strengths in supporting sustainable and meaningful growth/change.
In our first sessions together, we’ll take time to review important policies and ensure all necessary documentation is in place, so you feel informed and supported. We’ll also complete a thorough biopsychosocial assessment to help me understand your unique experiences and needs. From there, we’ll talk about your goals for therapy and begin shaping a path forward that feels meaningful and manageable for you. At times, we focus on some skills to help manage the symptoms you are experiencing while we get to know one another.
What sets me apart as a therapist is my diverse background and unwavering commitment to personal growth. With over 20 years of experience in various roles, I bring a wealth of perspectives to our work together. Having navigated my own challenges, including trauma and self-doubt, I understand the courage it takes to seek change. This lived experience, combined with my training allows me to offer a compassionate, grounded, and holistic approach to healing.
I love working with adults who have always shown up for others but are now ready to focus on themselves. My clients are thoughtful, self-aware, and motivated to grow, but often feel weighed down by anxiety, past experiences, trauma or a sense of being stuck. They're looking for support in untangling old patterns so they can move forward with more ease, confidence, and clarity. I employ a variety of models and methods, many of which are mind and body-centered, clients who are open to visualization, mindfulness, guided-imagery, and somatic practices are a great fit!
In my practice I integrate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) with several other modalities based upon my clients' needs and goals. CBT is used to identify and shift unhelpful thinking patterns and behaviors to create meaningful and lasting change.
EMDR is used to help you heal from difficult or traumatic experiences. By using gentle eye movements or tapping, we help your brain reprocess upsetting memories, so they feel less overwhelming, allowing you to move forward with more peace and clarity.
Experiential techniques such as art, writing, drawing, mindfulness, role-play, visualizations, etc are used to process and explore experiences and outcomes (desired and undesired). On other words, we harness your inner creativity and playfulness in the healing process.
In IFS-informed therapy at Wonderland Counseling, we explore the different “parts” of you—like the ones that protect, react, or carry pain—with curiosity and compassion. This approach helps you build a stronger connection with your core Self and create more balance and understanding within.
We pay attention to how emotions and past experiences show up in the body, by gently exploring sensations, movement, and breath. This approach helps you release tension, feel more grounded, and reconnect with your body as a source of wisdom and healing.
