New to Grow
Hi, I’m Mickaela—a therapist who believes that healing happens in safe, supportive spaces where you can be fully yourself. I show up with warmth, authenticity, and curiosity, and I’m passionate about helping people navigate life’s hardest moments with compassion and clarity. I understand that life can be overwhelming, messy, and painful—and that sometimes, just showing up is an act of courage. My goal is to create a space where you feel seen, heard, and valued, no matter what you’re carrying. I work from a trauma-informed, person-centered lens, and I honor the unique experiences, identities, and strengths that each person brings into the room. Whether you're working through grief, trauma, relationship challenges, burnout, or simply trying to reconnect with yourself, I’m here to walk alongside you. I believe in the power of vulnerability, the importance of boundaries, and the healing potential of connection. Therapy with me is collaborative, grounded, and tailored to your needs—because your story deserves to be met with care and respect.
Our first session is all about getting to know you—your story, your goals, and what feels most important right now. You can expect a relaxed, judgment-free space where you’re encouraged to share as much or as little as you feel comfortable. We’ll talk about what brings you in, what you hope to get out of therapy, and begin building a foundation of trust and collaboration.
I bring a trauma-informed, person-centered approach to therapy, blending evidence-based practices like CBT and EMDR with genuine human connection. I’m known for being warm, grounded, and real—creating a space where clients feel safe to explore, feel, and grow. I meet you where you are and walk with you toward where you want to be.
I work best with individuals who feel overwhelmed, stuck, or weighed down by grief, trauma, anxiety, or life transitions. Whether you're navigating burnout, relationship stress, or old wounds that still feel fresh, I’m here to walk alongside you. My clients are often deep feelers, caretakers, and people who’ve been strong for others for a long time—and are now ready to focus on themselves. If you're ready to explore healing at your own pace, I’d be honored to support you.
I utilize EMDR to help you process the emotions and feelings that are deep within you and impacting your day to day life in ways that may not even seem noticeable to you, and in the ways that do.
I like to use CBT to assist you in identifying patterns of thought that are maybe no longer serving you or may be holding you back from reaching your ideal self.
