New to Grow
Hi, I’m NaTascha Jones, a Licensed Professional Counselor with a background in counseling, education, and supporting individuals through life’s everyday challenges. I provide a calm, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where clients can feel heard, gain clarity, and begin building practical tools for anxiety, stress, life transitions, emotional wellness, and healthier boundaries. My approach is collaborative and goal-focused, helping clients recognize their strengths, take small meaningful steps, and move toward greater balance, confidence, and resilience.
In our first session, my goal is to create a calm, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where you feel heard and respected. We will talk about what brought you to therapy, what challenges you are currently facing, and what you hope to gain from counseling. You do not have to have everything figured out before you begin. This first session is about building trust, understanding your needs, and identifying goals that feel realistic and meaningful. Together, we will begin creating a practical path forward so you can move toward greater peace, balance, confidence, and emotional wellness.
One of my greatest strengths as a therapist is my ability to create a calm, supportive, and honest space where clients feel comfortable being themselves. My approach is warm, practical, and goal-focused. I believe therapy should be a place where clients feel heard, but also supported in taking real steps toward change. I work with clients to better understand their thoughts, emotions, patterns, and choices so they can build healthier coping skills, stronger boundaries, and more confidence in their daily lives. What makes my approach unique is that I bring both professional training and real-world understanding into the therapy space. Much of the work I do is shaped by experience, whether direct or indirect, along with years of supporting children, teens, adults, families, and older adults through different seasons of life. My background in counseling and education has helped me connect with people from many walks of life and meet them where they are without judgment. I use a collaborative approach that may include cognitive behavioral strategies, person-centered support, solution-focused techniques, and practical skill-building. My goal is to help clients leave sessions with greater clarity, emotional insight, and tools they can actually use. I believe healing does not always happen all at once. Sometimes it begins with one honest conversation, one new perspective, or one small step toward peace, balance, and growth.
I am best positioned to serve clients who feel overwhelmed by anxiety, stress, life transitions, emotional challenges, or the pressure of trying to hold everything together. Many of my clients are seeking balance, healthier boundaries, stronger coping skills, and a better understanding of themselves. They may be struggling with racing thoughts, difficulty managing emotions, low confidence, family or relationship stress, grief, adjustment issues, work-life balance, or simply feeling stuck in a season of life that feels heavier than expected. I work well with children, teens, adults, and older adults who desire a supportive, nonjudgmental space where they can feel heard, understood, and encouraged. My approach is calm, collaborative, and goal-focused. I help clients recognize their strengths, identify patterns that may be holding them back, and develop realistic tools they can use in their daily lives. When I think of a dream client, I imagine someone who may look like they have it all together on the outside, but inside they feel anxious, overwhelmed, emotionally tired, or weighed down from carrying too much for too long. They do not have to have everything figured out before starting therapy. They are simply open to being honest about what is no longer working, willing to learn practical tools, and ready to take meaningful steps toward healing, confidence, resilience, and emotional wellness.
Other specialties
I identify as
Person-centered (Rogerian)
In sessions, I provide a safe, supportive, and non-judgmental space where you can show up as you are. You are encouraged to lead the conversation in a way that feels natural and meaningful to you, while we gently explore the thoughts, feelings, and experiences that may be shaping your current season of life. Through empathy, active listening, and genuine support, I help you recognize your own strengths, gain emotional clarity, and reconnect with the insight already within you. The goal is growth that feels real, grounded, and personal to your journey.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
By taking a closer look at the thoughts, patterns, and behaviors that may be keeping you stuck, we can begin to gently challenge what is no longer serving you and replace it with practical tools that actually help. Together, we will explore how your thoughts, feelings, and actions are connected, because sometimes healing begins when we can finally see the pattern clearly. From there, we create a structured path forward with strategies you can use in real life, not just in session. This approach is focused, supportive, and goal-driven. The purpose is to help you feel more grounded, build resilience, and create a healthier sense of balance in your everyday life.
Solution Focused Brief Treatment
Frequently used with School Aged clients - In our sessions, we will focus on your strengths and the things that are already starting to go better, even in small ways. We will not just talk about the problem. We will also look at what helps, what gives you confidence, and what steps can make life feel a little easier. Together, we will set clear goals and create a plan that feels realistic for you. Each small win matters, because small wins can lead to big changes over time. My goal is to help you see the strength you already have and use it to keep moving forward, one step at a time.
