New to Grow
Hi, I’m Amanda Sifonte, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) dedicated to supporting teens, adults, and older adults as they navigate the complexities of life. Whether you’re experiencing anxiety, depression, addiction, chronic stress, a significant life transition, grief, or managing a chronic condition, I’m here to help you feel seen, supported, and empowered. My approach to therapy is grounded in empathy, collaboration, and respect. I believe that healing begins in a safe and nonjudgmental space—one where you can express yourself freely, explore your story, and feel understood.
During our first session, my priority is getting to know you—not just the challenges that brought you to therapy, but also who you are as a person. We'll talk about what's been weighing on you, explore what has and hasn't helped in the past, and discuss what you hope to achieve through therapy. There's no pressure to share everything at once; we'll move at a pace that feels comfortable for you. I'll also answer any questions you have about the therapy process so you can leave our first meeting with a clear sense of what working together will look like.
What sets my approach apart is my belief that therapy should feel like a partnership. I strive to create a space where you feel comfortable being yourself—without judgment, pressure, or expectations to have everything figured out. I take the time to understand your unique experiences, strengths, and goals, tailoring each session to your individual needs rather than using a one-size-fits-all approach. I balance compassion with practical, evidence-based strategies that help you gain insight, develop effective coping skills, and make meaningful changes in your daily life. Whether you're working through a difficult season, managing a chronic mental health condition, or simply looking to better understand yourself, I'll meet you where you are and support you at a pace that feels right for you. My goal is for you to leave each session feeling heard, supported, and equipped with tools you can use beyond our time together.
My ideal client is someone who feels overwhelmed, stuck, or emotionally exhausted and is ready to make meaningful changes in their life. They may be navigating anxiety, depression, chronic stress, grief, addiction, a major life transition, or the emotional impact of living with a chronic health condition. Some clients come to therapy after carrying the weight of their struggles alone for a long time, while others are seeking support during a recent life change. Many of my clients are looking for more than just symptom relief—they want to better understand themselves, build healthier coping strategies, strengthen their relationships, and regain a sense of balance and confidence. They don't need to have all the answers before starting therapy. They simply need a willingness to show up, and together we'll create a space where healing, growth, and lasting change are possible.
