Hi, I'm a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) licensed in the state of Georgia. I have been practicing for over five years working with a vast population of people. I received my master's degree from Troy University of Alabama. I feel my previous work experience in community mental health, working with children and adolescents and a mental health counselor in the prison system has provided me with vast knowledge of being in private practice.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session together, we'll start with a brief introduction, client will be asked to describe their symptoms. The client will be asked to set their goals and a treatment plan will be developed.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

Having worked with a vast population of people with different diagnosis. My compassion for working with individuals that are seeking treatment and importance of helping those individuals come up with a solution to their problems. I know the importance of listening to the client and help them develop the tools that they need to be successful.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I've been using CBT for five years. It's helped many of the clients I dealt with challenging their thought processes when it comes to dealing with depression, and anxiety. I work with clients on recognizing how their thoughts leads to their actions. I work with my clients on replacing negative thoughts with positive ones and developing coping skills that will help them deal with their depression or anxiety.

Solution Focused Brief Treatment

I've been using SFT for about one year. I work with clients to get them to focus primarily on the present and future when seeking solutions to their problems. I consider the clint to be the expert with whom I collaborate. I emphasize that the client will do most of the speaking during sessions. I help the clint to look at what would make life better, create solutions and seek out changes to improve their current situation. The client is asked to focus on what they want to be different in their life and how they will achieve this change in dealing with their anxiety or depression.
