Do you feel like you need to work out some of your thoughts and feelings? Are you not sure where to start? Hi! I'm Chelsea and I know that feeling all too well. In my therapy practice, I utilize an egalitarian approach while working with people. This means that the therapist and the client are the experts of their own experience. I believe we each bring preconceptions and values into the relationship and these core values can help strengthen trust. I’m, in general, curious about people and who they are; so I LOVE hearing about interests or hobbies or anything that relates to a person’s individuality. I incorporate harm reduction and motivational interviewing within my work. I believe that people are conduits to change and change is dependent on motivation and readiness. I think it is okay if someone is not ready or is not sure if they are ready; we all start somewhere! I enjoy watching people evolve and grow into their authentic selves; which includes knowing who they are and what they value. I value self-awareness and introspection, for myself, and want to help others on their path to their wellness.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

To see if we are a fit, please schedule a consultation call! It will help identify what you want in therapy and if I'm a good match for you. If so, you will receive intake paperwork which includes more information of why you are interested in therapy. At any point you can message me with questions! Our first session consists of going over confidentiality and other intake information. We will talk about what you want in therapy and what brought you to therapy. I will ask more questions about the information you provided on intake form, if needed. We can talk about what goals you have or what you are expecting out of therapy. No pressure to get everything out at once! It can take time to go through everything; talk about what is the most important for you.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

I have practiced within the public sector working with substance use, trauma, health conditions, folks who were unhoused/low-income, and folks experiencing co-occurring challenges. I have experience with working with adolescents/teens. I love learning about people and how they operate in the world based on their experiences. I am direct, intuitive, and real.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I have worked extensively with the LGBTQIA+ community, substance use, and trauma. I work with people on different levels of healing; a lot of my clients are seeking support in a holistic manner (mind, body, and spirit). I like to incorporate any beliefs or ideas each individual has.

Chelsea is an empathetic, genuine listener, who challenges me and calls me out on my BS (which I told her I needed in the beginning). She’s comforting and safe while still pushing me to look at myself and my situation more deeply, more carefully, so that we can find solutions together. I appreciate her and her time so so much.

I was drawn to Chelsea for her work with trauma and the authentic feel i saw on her profile and i leave every meeting feeling happy and excited to work on myself. Her work with diving deep into trauma gives me clarity. Definitely recommend her to anyone looking for enjoyable yet meaningful conversations.
