New clients continue care with this provider

As a licensed mental health counselor, I am dedicated to supporting women of diverse backgrounds and beliefs on their mental health journeys. With a special focus on women’s mental health, I have extensive experience working with those facing challenges such as depression and anxiety. I understand that these struggles can often be intertwined with hormonal shifts and imbalances, and I am here to help you explore these connections.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In our first session together I will gather information about the issues that bring you to therapy and the outcomes you would like to see in your life circumstances to know that our time together in therapy was successful. Together, we can work towards understanding your experiences and finding pathways to healing. My approach is rooted in empathy, collaboration, and empowerment, and I believe that every woman's story deserves to be heard. I look forward to joining you on this journey of discovery and growth.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

I utilize evidence-based modalities, including Cognitive Processing Therapy, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing, to ensure tailored support for each individual. I am always engaging in professional development to learn how to best meet the needs of my clients, as I believe in the importance of adapting to the evolving landscape of mental health care.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I take pride in providing a compassionate and safe space for all women, whether you are a mother navigating the complexities of postpartum life, a neurodivergent mom raising neurodivergent children, or caring for a loved one with a disability. I also welcome women in relationships across different races or same-sex partnerships, recognizing the unique experiences and challenges you may face.

My treatment methods

Solution Focused Brief Treatment

In SFBT, we will work together to identify your goals and explore what a future without the current problem or issue would look like for you. We will then focus on identifying any exceptions or times when the problem is less severe or not present, in order to uncover your existing strengths and resources that can help you move towards your desired outcome. During sessions, we will explore small, achievable steps that you can take to move closer to your goals, and we will celebrate your successes along the way. SFBT is typically a short-term therapy approach that is focused on creating change quickly and efficiently.

Psychoeducation

Psychoeducation is an important aspect of therapy that involves providing information and education about mental health conditions, symptoms, treatment options, and coping strategies. It aims to help you better understand your own mental health and empower you to actively participate in your treatment and recovery. During psychoeducation, we will discuss the nature of your mental health condition, its causes, and how it may be impacting your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. We will also explore various treatment options available to you, such as therapy, medication, lifestyle changes, and self-care practices. In addition, psychoeducation may involve teaching you specific skills and strategies to help you better manage your symptoms and improve your overall well-being. This may include stress management techniques, communication skills, problem-solving skills, and strategies for coping with difficult emotions.

Cognitive Processing (CPT)

We will work together to identify and challenge any negative thoughts or beliefs that you may have about yourself, others, or the world. We will also work on developing more positive and helpful ways of thinking. Additionally, we will work on identifying and changing any unhelpful behaviors that may be contributing to your difficulties. This may involve learning new coping skills, practicing relaxation techniques, or gradually facing feared situations in order to overcome them.
