As a Queer and neurodiverse Filipino immigrant, I focus on upholding the principles of liberation psychology, authenticity, and decolonization, especially through offering equitable and accessible therapeutic services for clients experiencing concerns with anxiety, depression, life transitions, peer and familial relationships, LGBTQ issues, and ADHD. As a therapist, I have worked in public and private settings such as group practices, community mental health centers, and correctional settings. I utilize eclectic modalities to achieve your goals and have received intensive training in DBT, DBT-PE, Motivational Interviewing, CBT, person-centered therapy, Narrative therapy, and experiential therapy.
In our first session, we will start with a brief introduction and overview of policies then begin to explore your broader history and concerns, thus allowing us to identify your goals and priorities in treatment.
I value cultivating a culturally-responsive and trauma-informed space where you and I are “kapwa,” the Filipino word for kindred souls. In our therapeutic relationship, we are a team. I learn from you just as much, if not more, than you may learn from me. The collaborative relationship we build together is essential in creating a space where you feel respected, heard, and most importantly, fully accepted. My goal is to bring your sense of self in alignment with your goals.
My clients request support in navigating depression, anxiety, self-esteem, gender identity, burnout, perfectionism, neurodivergence and other such concerns. In working with me, you'll find a therapist who is open-minded, welcoming, approachable, flexible, and above all, committed to supporting you in building your life worth living.
