I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor, Certified Sex Therapist, and hold a PhD in Clinical Sexology. With over 18 years of experience, I specialize in sex therapy and supporting individuals who have experienced sexual trauma, intimacy concerns, sexual functioning difficulties, and other challenges related to sexuality. My approach is compassionate, trauma-informed, collaborative, and free of judgment. I recognize that discussing sexuality, intimacy, and sexual trauma can feel deeply personal and vulnerable. We will work together at a pace that feels safe and comfortable for you, and you will never be pressured to explore something before you feel ready. Therapy may include education, resources, and between-session exercises to support your healing and progress. My goal is to create a safe, affirming space where you feel heard, respected, and empowered as we address the concerns that brought you to therapy and work toward healing, connection, confidence, and meaningful change in your life and relationships.
Your first session is an opportunity for us to get to know each other and begin understanding what brings you to therapy. We will talk about your concerns, what you would like to change, and what you hope to gain from our work together. When it comes to sex therapy or sexual trauma, you will never be expected to share more than you are comfortable sharing. I will answer your questions, explain how I approach therapy, and begin identifying goals that feel realistic and meaningful to you. Most importantly, the first session gives you an opportunity to decide whether you feel comfortable with me and whether I am the right therapist for you. My goal is for you to leave the session feeling heard, respected, and with a clearer understanding of how we can move forward together.
One of my greatest strengths is my ability to create a space where people can talk openly about things they may have never felt comfortable sharing before. I bring over 18 years of experience, along with specialized training in sex therapy and clinical sexology, to my work with clients. I understand that conversations about sex, intimacy, relationships, and sexual trauma can be difficult, so I approach each person with compassion, patience, and without judgment. I also believe in meeting people where they are. I will listen, ask questions, provide honest feedback, and offer practical tools and resources that can be used outside of our sessions. I don’t believe therapy should feel rushed or forced. We will work at a pace that feels right for you while focusing on the concerns and changes that matter most to you.
My ideal client is someone who is ready to better understand themselves and work through concerns related to sex, intimacy, relationships, or sexual trauma. You may be struggling with sexual functioning, low desire, anxiety around sex, difficulty with intimacy, shame, past sexual experiences, or feeling disconnected from your body or sexuality. You do not need to have everything figured out before coming to therapy. You may not even know exactly what you need or how to put what you are experiencing into words. What matters is that you are willing to begin the process. I work best with clients who want a safe, nonjudgmental space to have honest conversations, learn more about themselves, and make meaningful changes. Together, we can work toward healing, greater confidence, healthier intimacy, and a more comfortable and fulfilling relationship with your sexuality.
I use CBT to help un-load "packages" we have held onto from the past. Together, we will begin to unpack the luggage of old hurt, abandonment, anger and frustrations. We will release negative energy to help achieve the goal of being the person you really want to be.
I use sex therapy to help clients better understand and address concerns related to sexuality, intimacy, sexual functioning, relationships, and sexual trauma. Sex therapy provides a safe and nonjudgmental space to talk openly about concerns that may feel difficult or uncomfortable to discuss. In our sessions, we may explore how past experiences, thoughts, emotions, relationship patterns, or beliefs about sex are affecting your sexual well-being. Depending on your needs, I may incorporate education, communication skills, CBT techniques, mindfulness, and exercises or homework to practice between sessions. When sexual trauma is part of your experience, we will work at a pace that feels safe and comfortable for you. My goal is to help you better understand your sexuality, reduce shame or anxiety, improve intimacy and communication, and develop a healthier and more fulfilling relationship with yourself and your sexuality.

I love this her. She makes me feel like I’m being listened to and she won’t play or lie to you. She will be up and honest and I love that.
