Warmest greetings to you! My name is Bri and I have experience working with individuals who experience anxiety, depression, difficult life transitions (moving, changing jobs, ending relationships, etc.), women's issues, body image related issues, self-esteem, and grief. I support clients through these challenges, work to identify and create skills that work for you, and help clients develop a greater sense of self and well-being. I take a person-centered approach, empowering clients to be active participants in their healing journeys in a supportive, nonjudgmental space.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

Whether it's your first time starting therapy or your 100th time, the first session is essentially an "All About You" hour. I typically start session going through a few housekeeping items (paperwork, confidentiality, scheduling, etc.). From there, I open the floor for you to share more about yourself and what's brought you to therapy (or back to therapy). By the end of the hour, I hope to have a greater understanding of who you are and likewise, my hope for you is you get a better idea of who I am as a therapist! I always let my clients know the first session that the number one indicator of your progress is the connection you have with your therapist, so if you feel the "vibes are off" and don't think we're the best fit, that is more than okay! You're here for YOU and I will offer support whether that's as your therapist or helping you find the right one.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

I'm a firm believer that each of us are the experts in our own lives -- no one knows us better than ourselves. All that to say, I have a very gentle approach when it comes to therapy. I hold a supportive and nonjudgemental space for you to explore both the internal and external challenges you're facing. That being said, there are times when gently challenging is beneficial. After all, we don't grow in our comfort zone! Another strength of mine is human connection and authenticity. What I mean by this is that I am not robotic as therapist -- I bring my humorous, compassionate, and real self to sessions! I aim for sessions to feel like you're talking to another real person, not a rigid, monotone, professional.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I work with individuals who are struggling with anxiety, depression, woman specific issues, identity, and/or life transition issues. If you identify yourself as someone who mentally, emotionally, and/or physically exhausted, whether you’re struggling with your career, a relationship, self-esteem, or maybe all the above, we might be a good fit! Individuals who are eager for change and open and willing to put in efforts to create that change find the most success when working with me.

My treatment methods

Eclectic

I use an eclectic approach which means I use a lot of different tools and skills from various treatment methods. Humans are unique and your treatment should reflect you and your needs.

Feminist

I use a feminist theory approach as well and to summarize what that means, I take into account the systems of oppression at play in our lives and lean into advocacy for greater equality for all.
