Hi, I’m Lauren. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor who works with adults navigating life transitions, anxiety, relationship challenges, divorce recovery, and personal growth. Many of my clients come to therapy feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or uncertain about their next steps after experiencing significant changes in their lives. My approach is supportive, collaborative, and solution-focused. I believe therapy should be a space where you feel heard, understood, and empowered to create meaningful change. I draw from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Reality Therapy, and Solution-Focused Therapy to help clients identify unhelpful patterns, develop healthier coping strategies, and move toward the life they want to create. Whether you’re adjusting to the end of a relationship, managing stress and anxiety, rebuilding confidence, or working through a major life transition, my goal is to help you gain clarity, build resilience, and move forward with greater confidence and purpose.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

Starting therapy can feel intimidating, and it’s normal to feel unsure about what to expect. During our first session, we’ll spend time getting to know each other and discussing what brought you to therapy. I’ll ask questions about your current concerns, personal history, strengths, and goals so I can better understand your unique experiences and what you’re hoping to achieve. This first session is also an opportunity for you to determine whether I am a good fit for your needs. You don’t need to have everything figured out before we meet. My goal is to create a comfortable, nonjudgmental space where you can share at your own pace. Together, we’ll begin identifying areas you’d like to focus on and discuss a plan for moving forward. Many clients leave the first session feeling relieved to have a clearer understanding of their challenges and hopeful about the path ahead.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

My greatest strength is helping clients move from feeling stuck and overwhelmed to feeling empowered and capable of making meaningful changes in their lives. I combine warmth, authenticity, and practical problem-solving to help clients gain insight while also developing actionable strategies they can use outside of sessions. I am particularly skilled at helping clients navigate life transitions, relationship challenges, anxiety, and divorce recovery. My approach balances self-reflection with action, allowing clients to better understand their patterns, strengthen their coping skills, and make choices that align with their values and goals. Clients often describe me as supportive, straightforward, and easy to talk to. I strive to create a therapeutic relationship where clients feel challenged when needed, encouraged throughout the process, and confident in their ability to create lasting change.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I am best positioned to work with adults navigating life transitions, anxiety, relationship challenges, divorce recovery, and personal growth. Many of my clients are women who are adjusting to significant changes in their lives, including the end of a relationship, becoming a parent, career transitions, or rediscovering themselves after putting their own needs on hold. My ideal clients are motivated for change but may feel stuck, overwhelmed, or uncertain about their next steps. They often come to therapy seeking healing after a divorce or breakup, greater self-confidence, healthier boundaries, improved coping skills, and a stronger sense of identity and purpose. I enjoy helping clients identify patterns that are no longer serving them, challenge unhelpful beliefs, and develop practical solutions that support meaningful and lasting change. Together, we focus on building insight, resilience, and creating a life that feels more aligned with their values, goals, and vision for the future.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I help clients identify unhelpful thought patterns that may be contributing to anxiety, stress, low self-esteem, or relationship challenges. Together, we explore how thoughts, emotions, and behaviors are connected and develop healthier ways of thinking and responding to life’s challenges.

Reality Therapy

I help clients focus on what is within their control and identify practical steps they can take to create change. Rather than staying stuck in the past, we explore current choices, behaviors, and goals to help clients build a life that better aligns with their needs and values.

Solution Focused Brief Treatment

I work collaboratively with clients to identify strengths, resources, and small, achievable steps toward their goals. By focusing on solutions rather than problems, clients can build confidence and create meaningful progress, even during difficult seasons of life.
