Life is difficult. We all faces challenges that impact our emotions, goals and needs. I focus on these challenges as a stepping stone to self awareness and growth by helping my clients understand emotions as pathway to growth and change.
I was a middle school teacher/counselor for 32 years and gradually transitioned to psychotherapy work.
Even the most "educated and successful" of us need to step back and take a look at our lives and see stumbling blocks as an opportunity rather than a reason to give up!
First session
My first session typically consists of collecting background and family unit history as well as current stressors and concerns.

Treatment methods
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I have been using this treatment method since the beginning of my practice. Together we look at distorted thinking pattens and work together towards healthier patterns.
Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT)
Emotions and needs are highly interconnected. I have used this method of therapy to regulate emotional distress since the beginning of my practice.
Experiential Therapy
Anxiety and depression are a normal process of growth and I focus on growth through these experiences.
