Life is difficult. We all faces challenges that impact our emotions, goals and needs. I focus on these challenges as a stepping stone to self awareness and growth by helping my clients understand emotions as pathway to growth and change. Even the most "educated and successful" of us need to step back and take a look at our lives and see stumbling blocks as an opportunity rather than a reason to give up!
My first session typically consists of collecting background and family unit history as well as current stressors and concerns.
I was a middle school teacher/counselor for 32 years and gradually transitioned to psychotherapy work. I have a plethora of experiences understanding human needs and experiences. I have been licensed since 1999.
I work primarily with adults who are experiencing life challenges, depression and anxiety.
