Hi! I'm a Licensed Marriage and Family therapist based in Georgia. I've been practicing for 7 years after earning my Master's from Valdosta State University in 2017. I help people manage their stress and build their confidence by learning what their emotional needs are, how to inform others of those needs, and how to hold healthy boundaries around those needs.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session, we’ll focus on building a solid foundation for our work together by getting to know each other and exploring what has brought you to therapy. We’ll take time to discuss your life story, identify your goals for treatment, and ensure we’re a good fit to tackle the challenges you’re facing and move toward meaningful progress.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

As a therapist, I take pride in creating a non-judgmental and open-minded space where clients feel safe to share their experiences. I aim to balance support with gentle challenge, helping clients explore new perspectives and achieve meaningful growth. I encourage open communication, inviting clients to ask questions and provide feedback about their treatment to ensure our work together remains effective and aligned with their needs.

Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.

I enjoy working with individuals and couples who are seeking support in processing trauma, reducing anxiety, fostering healthier connections, navigating grief and loss, exploring sexuality and gender, and building self-confidence. As an Advanced BLAST Practitioner, I use Bi-Lateral Analysis and Stimulation Treatment (BLAST) as an effective tool to help clients process and heal from trauma in a safe and supportive environment. I also specialize in assisting adults who have recently been diagnosed with autism, helping them navigate life post-diagnosis and gain a deeper understanding of their unique needs and strengths. For adults who suspect they may be autistic, I offer guidance in exploring their personal narrative and how it may align with autism. My approach is highly collaborative, empowering clients to take an active role in guiding our sessions. I value client feedback and strive to create a strong therapeutic partnership to address the concerns that bring them to therapy.

My treatment methods

Narrative

Gaining insight into a client's unique personal narrative helps me identify patterns and behaviors that may benefit from reflection and adjustment. My goal is to partner with each client to reimagine and reshape their narrative, fostering less stress and cultivating more happiness, fulfillment, and meaningful moments of contentment.

Solution Focused Brief Treatment

I utilize a solution-focused approach and focus on collaborating with clients to find what works best for them and how to incorporate more of what works into their daily lives.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to help clients recognize the connection between their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. Together, we work to identify patterns of thinking that may be contributing to challenges and explore ways to reframe these thoughts into more constructive and empowering ones.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

I incorporate Dialectical Behavior Therapy to help clients build skills in managing intense emotions, improving interpersonal relationships, and increasing mindfulness. Together, we focus on finding a balance between acceptance and change, working to validate a client’s experiences while exploring ways to create meaningful shifts in their life.

Psychoeducation

I believe psychoeducation is a vital part of the therapeutic process. I focus on helping clients build a clear understanding of how the issues they face work or function. Whether it’s exploring the physiological impact of anxiety, the cycle of trauma responses, or the patterns behind specific behaviors, I aim to provide practical knowledge that demystifies these challenges. By understanding the mechanics behind their experiences, clients can feel more equipped to address their concerns and apply effective strategies to create meaningful change.
