I’m a bilingual licensed psychologist who helps individuals overcome adversity and build resilience. My training includes a PhD in Counseling Psychology from the University of Georgia and advanced postdoctoral fellowship training through Harvard Medical School. I provide therapy in both English and Spanish and offer culturally responsive, bicultural care that honors each client’s background and lived experiences. Many of my clients come to therapy feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or unsure where to start, but ready for meaningful change. My approach is compassionate, collaborative, and grounded in evidence-based therapies that support insight and lasting progress. I believe therapy should be both deeply human and thoughtfully tailored to each person’s story, strengths, and goals.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

Our first session is an opportunity for us to get to know each other and begin understanding what has brought you to therapy. Wether this is your first time in therapy or you’ve worked with a therapist before, taking the step to begin therapy—or begin again—is something to be proud of. I’m honored you chose me to walk alongside you on this healing journey. Together, we will begin identifying what feels most important to you right now and the changes you would like to see in your life. By the end of the session, we will have a clearer sense of your goals and how therapy can support your healing and growth. My commitment is that you will feel truly understood and supported throughout this process.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

One of my greatest strengths as a therapist is my ability to provide therapy that is not only supportive but also effective. I use my expertise in evidence based modalities and trauma focused training to help you feel safe and supported enough to explore difficult experiences. I meet you where you are and tailor therapy to your unique needs, values, and goals.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

Many of my clients come to therapy feeling overwhelmed and exhausted from carrying so much on their own and unsure how to move forward, but ready for meaningful change. Some are navigating trauma, anxiety, depression, infertility, painful life transitions, or relationship challenges while balancing the responsibilities of everyday life. My clients value a safe, caring, and non-judgmental space where they can be open about their struggles and feel understood. My goal is to help clients move from simply surviving to truly thriving.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) as a collaborative and practical approach to help clients understand how thoughts, emotions, and behaviors interact. Together, we make sense of overwhelming thoughts and emotional reactions, identify unhelpful patterns, and build skills to challenge self-critical thinking, regulate emotions, and respond more intentionally to difficult situations. I approach this work with sensitivity, recognizing that many patterns developed as ways of coping with past experiences, including trauma. Rather than focusing on “fixing” you, we focus on building insight, self-compassion, and practical tools that support lasting change. We move at a pace that feels safe and manageable for you.

Narrative

I use Narrative Therapy to help clients explore and reshape the stories they carry about themselves within the context of their identities, lived experiences, and the systems that have shaped them. This approach is grounded in cultural humility and centers your values, strengths, and resilience, helping you reconnect with a more empowered sense of identity.

Acceptance and commitment (ACT)

I use Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to help clients build psychological flexibility by learning to relate differently to difficult thoughts and emotions while staying connected to what matters most to them. This approach is grounded in compassion and supports you in clarifying your values, strengthening resilience, and taking meaningful action toward the life you want to create.

Cognitive Processing (CPT)

I use Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) to help clients understand how trauma has shaped their beliefs about themselves, others, and the world. Together, we gently identify and work through “stuck points” that keep trauma reactions going, such as self-blame, guilt, or feeling unsafe. CPT in my practice is collaborative grounded in compassion—helping you regain a sense of control, clarity, and meaning after trauma.

Prolonged Exposure Therapy

I use Prolonged Exposure to help clients reduce trauma-related avoidance and fear by safely and gradually approaching difficult memories and situations. Together, we gradually and safely approach memories, emotions, and situations that may feel difficult, building confidence, emotional tolerance, and a greater sense of control.
