Annemarie Colosimo
I am a Licensed Independent Social Worker with over 20 years experience. My focus is always to work in collaboration with each client to develop a treatment plan that best addresses the areas they would like to work on. I accomplish this by developing a trusting therapeutic relationship, utilizing the client’s strengths, and offering guidance to strengthen motivation to reach their goals. I received my Master’s Degree of Science in Social Administration after receiving my Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work. I obtained an independent license to practice and have also received a supervisory designation.
I love working with people, but also enjoy spending time with my husband and our dog Scout, traveling, playing pickleball, and attending major league baseball games.

First session
In our first session together, we'll start with brief introductions, I'll go over some general information and conduct a social history so I can get to know you better. Then we will talk about specific challenges you're facing, your goals for therapy, and you can decide if you would like to schedule a follow-up session.
Strengths
My career has included working with everyone from teens to senior citizens, individuals, and groups but the majority of my experience is in grief and loss and bereavement, including traumatic loss (Suicide/Overdose), as well as adjustment, anxiety, depression, and caregiver stress.
Ideal clients
I work with adults only and specialize in grief and bereavement but also assist with mood issues, anxiety, and family issues.
