My treatment methods

Christian Counseling

I am a Licensed Therapist and Certified Christian Counselor. I've been providing Christian Counseling for 20 years, integrating both natural solutions and biblical priniciples to help clients. This is a wholistic approach to healing the mind and spirit.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

In my 20 years of counseling, I've utilized Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients understand the connection between thoughts, behaviors, and feelings. I teach clients how to recognize and challenge negative or irrational thoughts and beliefs. Clients are then taught to restructure unhealthy cognitive patterns and replace maladaptive thoughts with more rational and affirming ones. This leads to healthy and positive outcomes.

Strength-Based

I've found Strength-Based therapy to be very helpful to clients because it focuses on one's internal strengths and resourcefulness, rather than on weaknesses, failures, and shortcomings. This focus sets up a positive mindset that helps clients identify and build on their strengths, improve resilience, and change their worldview to one that is more positive.
