Are you noticing the incessant chatter in your mind? Do you worry about what other people think? Do your inner dialogue carry a lot of weight? Does it increase your anxiety and/or depression? Holding onto past events and is impacting your ability to stay present? Self-aware enough to notice your polarity/incongruency? Would you like to take back control of that incessant chatter and have it work for you? Well, you might be at the right place. I help individuals increase their awareness of their thought patterns and how it has been impacting their daily lives. Our mind tends to have a motor of its own and it likes to keep going and going, I’m here to help increase self-awareness and to help tame that chatter so that it can work for you rather than work against you.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

Our sessions may typically feel like a creative project of disentanglement…My approach is humanistic and person-centered which for me, means that I will move and flow with you as a witness; I will point out things I notice or stick out to me; I will provide you with some psychoeducation, along with some skills to practice. It will be a co-collaboration between us, exploring your thought process, exploring your anxiety, exploring your depression. Expect a lot of compassionate questioning and curious ponders from me to help increase your self-awareness.

The treatment methods and tools I utilize

The short and sweet? I use DBT and ACT skills to mindfully ground and manage overwhelming symptoms while using IFS to heal the inner parts. Oh, want a little more detail? 😊 I utilize DBT [Dialectical Behavioral Therapy] to help increase awareness around how our thoughts, behavior and emotions impact each other; ACT [Acceptance and Commitment Therapy] to work on accepting the situation and the state of mind and to work on committing to what the next steps could be. Finally, IFS [Internal Family System] to heal our inner wounds; integrating all parts of us, back into one united Self.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

I believe that you are the expert of your life and you know yourself the best; after all, you are the only one who spends 24/7 with yourself. I am just here to co-create with you and explore what helps you; shine some light on your blind spots; and help you recognize you are not your thoughts. Helping you take back your power.

I’ve been working with Jessica for some time now, & I truly appreciate her approach. She is a compassionate & active listener who creates a safe, non-judgmental space to explore whatever is coming up in the moment. I tend to move between topics quickly, & she meets me where I am without making me feel pressured to stay on one track. Her flexibility is something I deeply value. Overall, she’s been an incredibly supportive presence in my therapeutic journey, & I’m grateful to be working with her.

Just such an awesome person!!! 1 month has done wonders because of how real and smart she is and has helped me feel more confident & secure with myself. Being incredibly skilled & compassionate is rare, and she got all that making a safe & supportive space to deep dive into my patterns & behavior allowing me to discover insights about myself that make me go "omg i didn't even think about that".
