My approach integrates various modalities such as Emotionally Focused Therapy, Trauma Informed Therapy, Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Somatic Therapy, Humanistic Therapy, Positive Psychology, Psychodynamic Therapy, and Internal Family Systems Therapy. This allows me to support clients who have experienced significant distress, helping them to reclaim their lives. I specialize in treating Anxiety, Depression, Trauma, Stress, ADHD, Grief, Women’s Issues, Relationship Difficulties, and General Life Transition Challenges.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session, you can expect a warm and welcoming experience. I strive to create a compassionate, safe, and non-judgmental space. I will conduct an initial assessment to gain a better understanding of your background, history, and current challenges, including any relevant personal, family, and medical history. I will also get clarity about the goals you have for therapy to subsequently formulate an individualized treatment plan.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

As a Psychotherapist, my greatest strengths lie in my ability to actively listen, empathize, and build strong therapeutic relationships with my clients. I believe that the foundation of effective therapy is a deep understanding of my clients' experiences, emotions, and perspectives.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

Clients are guided to examine their thoughts, feelings and physical sensations and how to reframe them to more adaptive patterns and behaviors. Cognitive behavioral therapy is used primarily to treat depression and anxiety symptoms but it is also effective for many other mental health conditions. Clients will begin to feel a mastery over their thoughts, take wiser actions and improve the quality of their life.

Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT)

Reflective listening is used to validate and understand clients' emotions. Clients are guided to develop increased awareness of their emotions, to feel their emotions without judgment and to transform their emotions to better use the information that they provide, to maintain positive changes and handle future conflicts constructively.

Trauma Informed Care

Create a compassionate and safe space and help clients identify and understand the psychological, emotional and physical effects of a traumatic event and alleviate symptoms associated with the traumatic event. This approach avoids re-traumatization, respects a client's experience, and promotes healing.

Mindfulness-Based Therapy

Use mindfulness and meditative techniques to help clients bring awareness to the present moment and to what is being felt and sensed and use techniques to help relax the body and mind to reduce stress level. Mindfulness practices may also help to regulate emotions which in turn help to improve mood, sleep, communication and relationships.

Guide clients to reflect on their true nature and help clients decide what choices need to be made and actions taken to create a fulfilling life that is aligned with what is most authentic to them. This approach values the individual's potential for self-actualization and stresses the importance of healthy interpersonal relationships.
