During the first session, clients can expect a welcoming and supportive conversation centered on understanding their current concerns, personal experiences, stressors, and goals for therapy. I take time to explore the patterns, challenges, and life experiences that may be affecting daily functioning while also discussing what the client hopes to gain from the therapeutic process. My approach is collaborative, straightforward, and nonjudgmental, with a focus on creating a space where clients feel comfortable, heard, and actively involved in their care from the very beginning.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

One of my greatest strengths is recognizing that the client knows themselves best, and I believe therapy is most effective when it feels collaborative rather than one-sided. I strive to create a welcoming, supportive, and nonjudgmental environment where clients can openly explore patterns, process challenges, and develop practical coping strategies while feeling heard, respected, and actively involved in their own growth and healing process.

Acceptance and commitment (ACT)

I utilize Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) as part of an integrative therapeutic approach to help patients develop greater psychological flexibility, improve emotional regulation, and respond more effectively to distressing thoughts and emotions. In my practice, I incorporate mindfulness, cognitive defusion, values clarification, and committed action strategies to support patients in reducing avoidance patterns and moving toward healthier, values-based behaviors.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) as part of an integrative therapeutic approach to help patients identify and restructure unhelpful thought patterns, improve emotional regulation, and develop healthier coping strategies. In my practice, I use CBT interventions such as cognitive restructuring, psychoeducation, behavioral activation, and coping skills development to support patients in managing anxiety, depression, trauma-related symptoms, stress, and interpersonal challenges.

Humanistic

I utilize a humanistic approach to therapy to provide a supportive, nonjudgmental environment where patients can explore their thoughts, emotions, and personal experiences with authenticity and self-awareness. In my practice, I incorporate empathy, active listening, reflection, and patient-centered interventions to help individuals strengthen self-esteem, improve emotional insight, and move toward personal growth and meaningful change.
