Joseph Walker is welcoming new patients for video appointments. As a Board Certified Psychiatric and Mental Health Nurse Practitioner he specializes in the treatment of anxiety and depression for both adolescents and adults. He has treated children and adults in inpatient crisis stabilization units, community mental health centers, small group practices, and in private practice. Joseph is specialized in the treatment of depression, anxiety and stress disorders with the use of FDA approved and evidence based treatments. Treatment plans are made to fit your specific needs.
In the first meeting Joseph Walker will ask questions. These questions will be about the reason you made the appointment, your history, your living situation, and your plans for the future. This is so that Joseph assess your situation appropriately. After this you and Joseph will work together to make a plan to help you going forward. This may include medication, therapy, or other modes of treatment.
Collaboration with other members of your care team – experience collaborating with multiple disciplines to treat patients suffering from acute psychiatric crises in an inpatient setting and patients in community settings. Listening to client concerns and symptoms. Taking the time to carefully diagnose. Empowering patients through psychoeducation about mood disorders, anxiety management, and psychotic disorders. Medication management and helping patients understand medication use. We will take the time to understand your goals for medication.

I have been with Joseph for a few years, and also had a time where I was out of state and could not see him (so in turn I saw others). I came back to him because he does an excellent job communicating and educating about the illnesses I struggle with. He always listens and isn't only focused on medications but finding ways to adjust lifestyle to help improve quality of life. Excellent provider.
