New to Grow

As a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP), I provide compassionate, evidence-based care for adolescents and adults experiencing a wide range of mental health concerns, including anxiety, depression, ADHD, bipolar disorder, PTSD, OCD, and other mood and behavioral conditions. I believe quality mental health care begins with feeling heard. My approach is trauma-informed, patient-centered, and collaborative, with a focus on creating a safe, supportive, and judgment-free environment where you can feel comfortable being your authentic self. I take the time to truly listen, understand your unique experiences, and meet you where you are. Using evidence-based practices, thoughtful medication management, education, and other supportive strategies, I work with each patient to create an individualized treatment plan that aligns with their goals and needs. I am passionate about reducing the stigma surrounding mental health and empowering patients to take an active role in their care. Together, we can build a trusting therapeutic relationship focused on healing, resilience, and lasting well-being.

First session

Your first appointment is an opportunity for us to get to know one another. You can expect a warm, welcoming, and judgment-free environment where you can share your concerns at your own pace. During our first session, we will talk about what brought you in, the challenges you have been experiencing, and what you hope to achieve through treatment. I will also ask questions about your mental and physical health history, family history, lifestyle, and other areas of your life to help me better understand your experiences and the full picture of your symptoms. This will help ensure we are identifying all factors that may be impacting your well-being. Most importantly, this is your space. I want you to feel heard and have the opportunity to discuss what matters most to you while recognizing that trust takes time. If there are topics you are not ready to discuss, we will move at a pace that feels comfortable and respectful. Together, we will begin developing a personalized, evidence-based treatment plan that may include medication management, education, and other supportive strategies to help you reach your goals.

Strengths

My approach is built on the belief that meaningful mental health care starts with a genuine human connection. I strive to bring my authentic self into every appointment, using warmth, empathy, and even humor when appropriate to create an environment where you can feel comfortable being yourself. I believe every person deserves to feel heard, respected, and involved in their care. Rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach, I meet each patient where they are, taking the time to understand their unique experiences, strengths, and goals. My care is trauma-informed, patient-centered, and grounded in evidence-based practice, with treatment decisions made collaboratively so you feel informed and empowered every step of the way. Whether we're exploring new symptoms, managing medications, or celebrating progress, my goal is to create a safe, judgment-free space where you feel supported, understood, and confident that your voice matters. Together, we'll build a treatment plan that reflects not only the best available evidence, but also what matters most to you.

Ideal clients

I believe there is no single "ideal" client. I welcome individuals across the lifespan from all backgrounds who are seeking support for their mental health, whether they're navigating anxiety, depression, ADHD, trauma, mood disorders, life transitions, or simply feeling that something isn't quite right. The patients I work best with are those who are open to working together toward meaningful change—whether they're taking their first step into mental health care or returning after previous experiences. You don't need to have all the answers or know exactly what you need. My role is to meet you where you are, listen without judgment, and partner with you to better understand your experiences and create a personalized, evidence-based treatment plan. I value authenticity, collaboration, and open communication, and I strive to create a safe, trauma-informed space where you feel heard, respected, and empowered to take an active role in your care. No matter where you're starting, we'll work together toward improving your mental health and overall well-being—one step at a time.

Trauma-Informed Care

Trauma-informed care recognizes that past experiences can shape how we cope, relate to others, and move through the world. I strive to create a safe, compassionate, and respectful space where you feel heard and empowered. I approach therapy with sensitivity to experiences that may feel overwhelming or emotionally activating, honoring your boundaries and working at a pace that feels right for you. Together, we'll build on your strengths and support healing, resilience, and meaningful growth.
