(she/her)
My name is Chantal Baptiste, DNP, PMHNP-BC, FNP-C. I am dually certified in psychiatry and family, and hold a Doctor of Nursing Practice degree, which allows me to combine advanced clinical training with a holistic, patient-centered approach. My passion is serving individuals and families by providing evidence-based mental health care that promotes healing, resilience, and lasting well-being. I strive to create a safe, supportive space where clients feel truly heard, valued, and empowered to reach their goals. My approach is collaborative; I believe that lasting progress happens when we work together to create a treatment plan that fits your unique goals, needs, and lifestyle. Whether you are struggling with anxiety, depression, trauma, or other mental health concerns, I am here to walk alongside you with empathy and respect. My focus is not just on managing symptoms, but also on helping you build resilience, develop healthier coping strategies, and move toward a more balanced, fulfilling life. If you are ready to take the next step in your mental health journey, I would be honored to support you with compassion, expertise, and a genuine commitment to your well-being.
During your first session, you can expect a welcoming and judgment-free space where you feel safe to share your story at your own pace. We will spend time getting to know each other and discussing what brought you to seek care, your current concerns, and your goals for treatment. I will ask questions about your medical, mental health, and personal history so I can better understand the whole picture of your well-being. This helps me create a treatment plan that is personalized to your unique needs. You don’t need to have everything figured out before coming in—the first session is simply about starting the conversation, building trust, and working together to set the foundation for your care. My goal is to make you feel comfortable, supported, and empowered as we begin your journey toward healing and growth.
One of my greatest strengths is my ability to blend advanced clinical expertise with a compassionate, human-centered approach. With dual certification and a Doctor of Nursing Practice degree, I bring a strong foundation in both mental and physical health, allowing me to provide truly comprehensive and integrated care. What stands out about my approach is the balance I bring between evidence-based treatment and genuine connection. I believe that trust, empathy, and respect are just as important as medication or therapy techniques. My clients often share that they feel deeply heard, understood, and supported in ways they haven’t experienced before. I tailor every treatment plan to the individual—there is no “one-size-fits-all.” Whether that means exploring therapy techniques, medication management, or lifestyle changes, my focus is always on creating strategies that fit your unique needs, strengths, and goals. Ultimately, my greatest strength lies in empowering clients to take an active role in their healing journey, equipping them with the tools and confidence they need to experience lasting resilience, growth, and improved quality of life.
I am best positioned to serve clients who are seeking compassionate support for challenges such as anxiety, depression, mood disorders, trauma, stress management, and life transitions. I also work with individuals who may feel stuck, overwhelmed, or unsure of how to move forward, and who are looking for a safe space to process their thoughts and emotions. I especially enjoy working with motivated clients who are open to a collaborative approach—those who are new to mental health care and seek guidance, as well as those who have tried therapy or medication before and are looking for a fresh, tailored approach that addresses both their mental and physical well-being. Many of my clients come to me with goals such as building emotional resilience, improving relationships, developing healthier coping strategies, and finding greater balance in their daily lives. I strive to empower each person I work with to gain a deeper understanding of themselves, navigate challenges with confidence, and achieve lasting growth and healing.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I use CBT by collaborating with clients to identify and change maladaptive thought patterns and behaviors that contribute to mental health disorders like depression and anxiety. I create an individual plan to incorporate CBT as part of a broader plan that may also include medication management and other lifestyle interventions.
