New to Grow
Hi, and welcome! I'm so glad you're here. Taking the first step toward therapy can feel overwhelming, and finding the right therapist is an important part of the process. My goal is to provide a supportive, compassionate, and judgment-free space where you feel comfortable being yourself. I believe every person has unique strengths, and together we'll build on those strengths while working through life's challenges. I enjoy working with adolescents and adults of all ages and strive to create a collaborative therapeutic relationship that helps you feel empowered, understood, and hopeful. Whether you're seeking support for anxiety, depression, addiction, life transitions, or simply looking to improve your overall well-being, I'm here to help you move toward the life you want to create.
Our first session is an opportunity for us to get to know one another and begin building a strong therapeutic relationship. We'll spend time discussing what brings you to therapy, your personal history, current concerns, and the goals you'd like to achieve. I'll complete a comprehensive assessment to better understand your unique experiences, strengths, and challenges. Together, we'll develop a personalized treatment plan that reflects your priorities and identifies meaningful, achievable goals. I believe therapy works best as a collaborative process, so your input is an essential part of creating a plan that feels right for you. Most importantly, our first session is about establishing trust and creating a safe, supportive environment where you feel comfortable sharing at your own pace. My goal is for you to leave our first meeting feeling heard, understood, and hopeful about the work we'll do together.
I bring a compassionate, nonjudgmental, and collaborative approach to therapy. My goal is to create a space where you feel safe, heard, and respected. I believe every person has inherent strengths, and together we'll build on those strengths while working toward your goals. I strive to meet clients where they are, recognizing that each person's experiences and journey are unique. Using evidence-based approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Motivational Interviewing, I'll help you develop practical tools, gain insight into unhelpful patterns, and build confidence in your ability to make meaningful changes. With experience supporting individuals facing addiction, mood disorders, and life's many challenges, I understand that healing isn't one-size-fits-all. I'm committed to partnering with you, celebrating progress along the way, and helping you develop the skills and resilience to navigate life's ups and downs long after therapy ends.
I enjoy working with adolescents and adults who are ready to explore meaningful change, whether they're facing a specific challenge or simply looking to improve their overall well-being. My clients often come to therapy seeking support for anxiety, depression, mood disorders, substance use, life transitions, stress, relationship concerns, or difficulties managing everyday challenges. You don't have to have everything figured out before starting therapy. Whether you're feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or uncertain about your next steps, we'll work together to identify your strengths, develop practical coping strategies, and create goals that reflect what's most important to you. If you're open to a collaborative, strengths-based approach and willing to engage in the therapeutic process at your own pace, I'd be honored to support you on your journey.
Other specialties
Strength-Based
I use a strengths-based approach to therapy, which focuses on identifying and building upon each client's existing strengths, resilience, and personal resources. I believe every individual has unique abilities, experiences, ,and inner strengths that can be used to create meaningful and lasting change. I provide a supportive, nonjudgmental environment where we collaboratively identify your goals, recognize your successes , and develop practical strategies to overcome obstacles. Treatment is tailored to the needs of each individual, empowering you to build confidence, develop helping coping skills, and create sustainable growth. I strive to create a safe, collaborative space where you feel heard, respected, and empowered to make meaningful change at your own pace.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I use CBT to help clients better understand the connection between their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. Together, we identify unhelpful or negative thought patterns that may be contributing to emotional distress or interfering with daily functioning. By examining these patterns, clients learn to challenge unhelpful beliefs, develop healthier ways of thinking, and build practical coping strategies. CBT is a collaborative, goal-oriented approach that equips clients with tools they can use both during and outside of therapy. I tailor the interventions to each indivdiual's unique needs, empowering them to accomplish their individual goals and promote lasting change and improve over-all well-being.
Motivational Interviewing
I use MI to help clients explore their thoughts and feelings about change in a supportive, nonjudgmental environment. Rather than telling clients what they should do, I work collaboratively with them to identify their own goals, values, and motivations. This approach helps clients resolve ambivalence, increase confidence and strengthen their commitment to making meaningful, lasting changes. Using empathy, reflective listening, and open-ended questions, I help clients recognize their strengths, build self-efficacy, and develop realistic, achievable goals. My goal is to empower clients to make choices that align with their values and support the life they want to create.
Psychoeducation
I incorporate psycho education into therapy to help clients better understand their mental health, emotions, behaviors, and the factors that influence their overall well-being. I believe that knowledge empowers individuals to make informed decisions and actively participate in their treatment. Psycho education is integrated throughout the therapeutic process and tailored to each client's unique needs, goals, and level of understanding. I strive to provide clients with practical tools and knowledge that support long-term emotional health and personal growth.
Narrative
I use narrative therapy to help clients explore the stories they tell about their lives and experiences. Together, we examine how past experiences, relationships, and societal influences may have shaped these narratives and identify beliefs that may not longer serve them. Rather than viewing clients as the problem, Narrative Therapy encourages the understanding that the problem is separate from the person, creating space for self-compassion, growth, and change. I help clients recognize their strengths, values, resilience, and successes while identifying alternative stories that reflect their abilities and hopes for the future. My goal is to help clients feel empowered as the authors of their own stories and build a life that aligns with who they are and who they aspire to become.
