Ashley Hogan
As a woman who wears many hats personally and professionally, I understand the emotional complexities and life transitions many women face it inspired me to open my own practice. I am the owner of Her Mind Psychiatry, a private psychiatric practice serving adults 18+ in Indiana and Illinois, with a special focus on women’s mental health. I provide psychiatric evaluations and medication management for anxiety, depression, ADHD and other neurodivergent concerns, OCD, trauma, and perinatal/postpartum mental health. My approach includes diagnosis, medication when appropriate, lab monitoring when indicated, and promoting healthy lifestyle habits as part of overall mental wellness. I am accepting new patients. If my profile says BOOKED. Please reach out via the contact me widget at hermindpsychiatry.com IF YOU ARE A PATIENT OF MAGDALENE BAMBO, PLEASE REACH OUT VIA WEBSITE FOR APPOINTMENT OR REFILL. Please note: I do not provide emergency or crisis services. If at any time telehealth is determined to be an unsafe or clinically inappropriate platform for your care, I will provide appropriate resources and referrals to support transition to a higher or more appropriate level of care.
First session
Expect a relaxed, supportive space where you can simply be yourself. I’ll take the time to listen, ask thoughtful questions, and get to know the full picture, not just your symptoms. Together, we’ll identify patterns, discuss your concerns and goals, and create a personalized plan that feels right for you.
Strengths
My greatest strengths are collaboration, education, and creating a space where you can feel comfortable being yourself. I’m relaxed, approachable, and genuinely take the time to listen and understand your concerns. I want you to feel heard, respected, and involved in your care, not like decisions are simply being made for you.
Ideal clients
My ideal client is a woman who may appear to have everything together on the outside but is struggling internally with anxiety, depression, ADHD, OCD, trauma, or reproductive mental health concerns. She may be navigating pregnancy, postpartum, PMDD, hormonal changes, career demands, relationships, motherhood, or simply the pressure of managing it all. I work best with clients who want to better understand their mental health, feel like themselves again, and take an active role in their care. My goal is to provide a comfortable, judgment-free space where you feel heard, supported, and involved in decisions about your treatment.
Treatment methods
Psychoeducation
I use a personalized, evidence-based approach to psychiatric care that integrates medication management with a full understanding of each client’s unique experience. Treatment begins with a comprehensive evaluation, where we explore symptoms, history, lifestyle factors, and—when appropriate—medical contributors. Medication is never a one-size-fits-all solution. I use a thoughtful, collaborative process to help clients understand their options, including risks, benefits, and alternatives, so they feel confident in their care. My approach is especially tailored to women, recognizing how life transitions, hormones, stress, and roles can impact mental health. When appropriate, I also encourage psychotherapy and lifestyle support as part of a well-rounded treatment plan.
