Do you relate to anxiety memes on social media? What about staying up late at night thinking about that time you told the host at that restaurant you went to years ago “you too” when they told you to “enjoy your meal?” How about all-or-nothing thinking? "I’ll never figure this out," "life will always be hard," or "I’ll never be happy." Unfortunately, so many of us do, especially women in this society. I’m a firm believer that instead of living in the black or white situations, the gray in our lives is where the most happiness is found, because it’s in that space that we truly accept who we are and what life really is—a chain of events that we can’t change but we can grow from. Through dialectical behavior therapy, I can teach women to look for the areas in between the good and the bad; as DBT calls it, "the middle path." I want to help you let go of those embarrassing moments you dwell on, stop doom scrolling on social media, and accept that life can still be worth living even with painful events in it.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session I will work towards just getting to know you. Many first moments with a therapist feel awkward, so I hope to be a safe space to share and a judgement free zone. We will work on your goals together and when you leave our session, my goal will be for you to feel heard, seen, and closer to meeting your goals.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

My strengths are working with women of all ages, struggling with daily life, mental health problems, and addictions. I have walked in many of the same challenges so many of you have. Toxic and abusive relationships, downgrading ourselves and our worth, and questioning life in general. I have not lived your life, but I know what it feels like to feel shackled, abandoned, depressed, panicked, and alone. You do not have to feel alone anymore.
