About me

Life can bring moments of overwhelming stress, loss, or transition — and it can feel isolating to face them on your own. With a background as both a licensed social worker and a nurse, I’ve supported people through some of their most vulnerable and difficult experiences. These years of working in high-pressure environments have given me not only professional expertise, but also a deep respect for the strength and resilience within each person. In therapy, I offer a warm, collaborative space where you can safely explore your emotions, clarify your values, and find healthier ways to move forward. My approach is compassionate, practical, and tailored to your needs. Whether you’re navigating trauma, stress, or life changes, we’ll work together to uncover your strengths and build the tools you need to create a life that feels meaningful and balanced.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In our first session together, clients can expect a warm and welcoming atmosphere where they'll have the opportunity to share their story and discuss their reasons for seeking therapy. We'll take the time to get to know each other, establish a trusting relationship, and clarify your goals for therapy. I'll provide a comprehensive overview of the therapeutic process and address any questions or concerns you may have. Together, we'll begin to explore your experiences, emotions, and needs, laying the foundation for our work together and outlining a personalized treatment plan tailored to support your journey towards healing and growth.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

My greatest strength as a provider is my ability to deeply connect with clients and create a safe, supportive space for healing. With a background in both social work and nursing, I bring a holistic understanding of trauma, crisis, and human resilience. I tailor evidence-based approaches to each person’s unique needs, helping them build strength, empowerment, and lasting change. Committed to lifelong learning, I continually integrate the latest research and best practices to provide the highest quality of care.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I work best with clients who are looking for a safe space to process what they’ve been through, find stability, and begin to heal. Whether you’re recovering from trauma, coping with a major life transition, or simply trying to manage the daily toll of stress and uncertainty, I bring compassion, practical tools, and a calm presence to guide you. My goal is to walk alongside you as you reclaim your sense of strength and create a life that feels grounded, balanced, and meaningful — even in the face of challenges.

My treatment methods

Compassion Focused

In our sessions, we'll explore the origins of your self-criticism and cultivate a compassionate attitude towards yourself. Through various exercises and techniques, we'll work to foster a sense of warmth, acceptance, and understanding towards yourself, ultimately helping you to build resilience and navigate life's challenges with greater compassion and kindness.

Person-centered (Rogerian)

We'll explore how your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors are interconnected. Together, we'll identify and challenge any negative thought patterns, develop coping strategies to manage difficult emotions, and work towards making positive changes in your behavior to improve your overall well-being. Through this process, you'll gain practical skills and tools to better understand and navigate your own thoughts and emotions, empowering you to take control of your life.

Mindfulness-Based Therapy

In our sessions, we'll practice mindfulness exercises such as focused breathing or body scans to anchor you in the present moment and observe your thoughts and feelings without becoming overwhelmed by them. This practice can help increase self-awareness, reduce stress, and enhance emotional regulation. Together, we'll integrate mindfulness techniques into our sessions to help you develop a greater sense of inner calm, clarity, and self-compassion, ultimately supporting your overall well-being and personal growth.

Trauma Informed Care

Trauma-Informed Care recognizes the widespread impact of trauma on individuals and emphasizes creating a safe and supportive environment for healing. In our sessions, I will prioritize your safety, trust, and collaboration, ensuring that we proceed at a pace that feels comfortable for you. By understanding the effects of trauma and integrating trauma-sensitive approaches, we'll work together to address your experiences, promote resilience, and support your journey towards healing and empowerment.

Acceptance and commitment (ACT)

I use Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), an evidence-based modality that emphasizes psychological flexibility. ACT integrates mindfulness, values clarification, and behavior change strategies to help clients accept difficult internal experiences while committing to actions aligned with their values. This approach is particularly effective for anxiety, depression, stress, and life transitions, and supports clients in cultivating resilience and authenticity.
