Hey!! My name is Sharita, and I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist ( LMFT) Based in Georgia. I received my master's from Mercer University and have been in the field for 8 years. I help young adults, and families navigate through daily stressors, anxiety, and mild depression. I specialize in working with POC. I am also a sex-positive and LGBTQ-friendly therapist who helps individuals and couples navigate challenges related to sexual/ gender identity, ethical non-monogamy, etc.
Our first session together will start with brief introductions, a review of past therapy experiences, and a discussion of your wants and needs from treatment. This will help guide me in creating the perfect plan for you as we navigate the follow-up sessions. We will also explore previous coping skills and what makes you feel safe, allowing me to create a safe space for you as we continue our time together.
My authenticity and transparency create a safe space for my clients to express themselves freely and openly. I am a client-centered therapist focusing on empowering and motivating adults and families as they journey through their daily lives.
I love working with young adults and families eager and willing to do the work. Therapy is a collaborative process and we both have to be willing to do the work.
Let's do more of what works and less of what doesn't!! I am a strength-based clinician who meets my clients where they are and collaborates with them on a solution. I am here to motivate and empower you to be the best you.
