Besides my educational and professional experiences, I have gone through my own life experiences and challenges. Clients come to me when their emotions feel too intense, their patterns feel unmanageable, or their relationships feel strained. Many are dealing with anxiety, trauma, grief, avoidance, or habits that no longer serve them. They want to understand what’s happening beneath the surface and learn how to respond in healthier, more grounded ways. I help clients move forward by combining warmth with structure. Together, we create meaningful change that clients can carry into every part of their lives.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

Whether this is your first time in therapy, or you have been to therapy before, I respect the fact that you are reaching out. My goal is to make you feel comfortable and address your concerns. Prior to the first session I will send you forms to complete, which will ask you several background questions. This will be very helpful as we get to know each other. Near the end of our first session, we will do a preliminary treatment plan, where we will discuss your treatment goals and how we can start working together to achieve them.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

I aim to bring out your strengths to achieve your goals. I may challenge you at times to help you achieve those goals.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

My ideal client is someone who is experiencing emotional or behavioral instability, wants to understand themselves better, and is ready to make meaningful changes with structured, evidence‑based support. They may feel stuck, overwhelmed, or uncertain — but they’re willing to engage collaboratively. And they’re ready to build steadier emotions, healthier patterns, and a more grounded sense of self with a therapist who offers both structure and compassion.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

CBT is helpful because it teaches people to identify unhelpful thoughts and behaviors, test them against reality, and replace them with more adaptive patterns — producing measurable improvements in mood, functioning, and coping across a wide range of conditions.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

DBT is helpful because it teaches people how to regulate overwhelming emotions, tolerate distress without making things worse, communicate effectively, and stay grounded in the present — skills that dramatically improve functioning and reduce crisis behaviors.

Cognitive Processing (CPT)

CPT is helpful because it teaches clients to identify and change trauma‑related beliefs that keep them stuck — especially around safety, trust, power/control, esteem, and intimacy — leading to reduced PTSD symptoms and improved functioning.

Exposure Response Prevention (ERP)

ERP is helpful because it exposes clients to feared thoughts, sensations, or situations without allowing the usual avoidance or compulsive response, teaching the brain that the feared outcome does not occur — and that anxiety naturally decreases on its own.

Interpersonal

IPT is helpful because it improves mental health by strengthening relationships, resolving interpersonal stressors, and helping clients navigate role changes — all of which directly influence mood and functioning.
