I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) based in North Carolina. I obtained my Masters Degree from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro and have been practicing for six years. I specialize in assisting adults who are grappling with life stressors that may result in burnout and uncertainties. My approach is centered on assuring my clients that they are not alone and that I am committed to supporting them throughout their journey.
I approach each session with an open mind and a willingness to engage in a collaborative exchange of ideas. Rather than simply reciting a series of questions, I strive to establish a rapport with my clients and begin our discussions from a point that aligns with their comfort level.
I am a compassionate individual who truly enjoys helping others. I love taking on challenges, collaboratively and witnessing my client transform their life into what they want it to become. I have worked in an array of settings, so I know how hard it can become trying to navigate medical, school or in a professional setting such as within big corporations, all while trying to navigate your own mental health. I like to utilize my experience, skillset and education to help support my client, all while being compassionate, empathetic and giving my client a safe place to be themselves.
It would be my pleasure to assist adults who demonstrate a genuine commitment to personal growth and self-improvement. I am dedicated to empowering individuals to achieve their full potential and become the best versions of themselves.
Strength-Based
As a seasoned clinician, I firmly believe that every individual has unique strengths. I take pride from identifying and exploring these strengths in my clients, which empowers them to work towards personal and professional growth.
Compassion Focused
As a clinician, I believe compassion-focused therapy is essential to building strong rapport with my clients.
Solution Focused Brief Treatment
Solution Focused therapy helps to teach clients problem-solving skills while remaining strength focused. Brief modalities can be key when trying to come up with a solution to any problem.

I have worked with 4 other therapists in the past and never felt as heard as I do with Kristy. She has continuously made a difference in my experience with therapy by remembering the little details about family dynamics or stories I've told despite the time between sessions. Kristy has met me where I'm at mentally, asks questions that I haven't already asked myself, and digs deeper to find my true stressors. + She is a very enjoyable person to talk to/banter with! Highly recommend!

I wasn't thrilled with my previous therapist so after a few sessions I started shopping around - Kristy seemed like a good fit and - at least based on first impressions - I think I was right. She listened well, had great prompts, and was very professional and warm and friendly. Looking forward to working with her!

Had my first session with Kristy and right away you can tell she is truly listening and invested in your story. Her questions were thoughtful and we were able to touch on broad subjects for our initial meeting while also setting up short term goals & plans for current stressors. I am very hopeful for my future in therapy with Kristy & look forward to progress!
