Hi, I’m Nicole, a licensed professional counselor serving clients in Texas, Indiana, and Illinois. I provide a warm, supportive, and judgment-free environment where clients can work through anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship concerns, and life transitions. My approach is collaborative and personalized, using evidence-based strategies to help clients recognize their strengths, overcome barriers, and create meaningful change in their lives.
I bring warmth, empathy, and a genuine respect for each client’s unique experiences. I am an attentive listener who creates a safe, nonjudgmental space while also offering practical guidance and honest feedback. Drawing from my clinical experience and evidence-based approaches, I help clients identify their strengths, gain new perspectives, and develop realistic strategies for creating lasting change.
My ideal client is someone who may be feeling overwhelmed, anxious, depressed, stuck, or simply tired of operating in survival mode. They may be navigating trauma, relationship challenges, major life transitions, work-related stress, or difficulties setting healthy boundaries. I enjoy working with clients who are ready to better understand themselves, recognize their strengths, and take meaningful steps toward healing, balance, and a more fulfilling life.
I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients understand how their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors influence one another. Together, we identify unhelpful thinking patterns, explore how they affect daily life, and develop healthier, more balanced perspectives. I also provide practical tools and strategies that clients can use between sessions to manage symptoms, change ineffective behaviors, and make progress toward their goals.
I use Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to help clients better manage intense emotions, cope with distress, communicate effectively, and build healthier relationships. Together, we practice skills related to mindfulness, emotion regulation, distress tolerance, and interpersonal effectiveness. I balance acceptance with change by validating clients’ experiences while helping them develop practical strategies for responding to challenges in healthier and more effective ways.
I use Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) to help clients understand the emotions, unmet needs, and attachment patterns underlying their thoughts and behaviors. Together, we explore recurring emotional and relationship patterns in a safe, supportive environment. This approach helps clients process difficult emotions, strengthen their connections with others, and develop healthier ways of responding to themselves and their relationships.
I use Interpersonal Therapy to help clients understand how their relationships, communication patterns, and life transitions may be affecting their emotional well-being. Together, we explore concerns such as conflict, grief, changing roles, and difficulty connecting with others. I help clients strengthen communication skills, establish healthier boundaries, improve their relationships, and build more supportive connections.
I use supportive therapy to provide clients with a safe, compassionate, and nonjudgmental space where they feel heard, understood, and accepted. Through active listening, encouragement, validation, and practical guidance, I help clients process difficult emotions, recognize their strengths, and build confidence in their ability to manage challenges. This approach supports clients in improving coping skills, resilience, and overall emotional well-being.
