New to Grow
I’m Rosa Roberts, PsyD, with a background in Human and Organizational Psychology and a Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. My work is rooted in the belief that every person has the capacity for growth, clarity, and healing when given the right support. I strive to create a warm, collaborative space where clients feel heard, seen, and understood. Drawing from evidence-based practices, I walk alongside people as they navigate life’s challenges, explore transformation, and discover new possibilities for themselves.
In our first session, my goal is to create a warm and welcoming space where you feel comfortable. We’ll review the information you shared in your intake form, begin exploring what brings you to therapy, and set the stage for building a strong, supportive relationship. This time is about getting to know each other and laying the foundation for our work together.
One of my greatest strengths is my ability to meet people with compassion and clarity, creating a safe and supportive space where they can be fully themselves. With a strong foundation in psychology and counseling, I bring both knowledge , empathy, and life experiences to the work, helping clients explore their challenges while highlighting their resilience. I adapt evidence-based approaches to each person’s unique journey, offering direction, healing, and hope as they move through change and growth.
I am currently open to individuals ages 17 through 99 who are navigating life’s changes, challenges, and opportunities for growth. I work best with clients who are seeking support in understanding their thoughts and emotions, building healthy coping strategies, and finding meaning in their experiences. Whether we’re using CBT to shift unhelpful patterns, ACT to align life with personal values, DBT to strengthen emotional and relationship skills, or grief therapy to process loss, I tailor the process to each person’s unique journey.
In our work together, I draw from several approaches to best support your needs. Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) helps us notice and change unhelpful thought patterns.
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) focuses on living in line with your values while learning to accept what you cannot change.
Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) teaches skills for managing emotions, improving relationships, and building balance.
For times of loss, I use grief therapy to create space for healing, honoring your experience, and finding ways to move forward with hope.
