About me

I am a licensed clinical social worker who provides thoughtful, trauma-informed therapy for adults navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship challenges, life transitions, and emotional overwhelm. My approach integrates mindfulness, CBT, motivational interviewing, EMDR, and humanistic and existential perspectives. I strive to create a warm, nonjudgmental space where clients feel genuinely heard while developing greater self-awareness, emotional regulation, and practical tools for meaningful change.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

Our first session will focus on getting to know you, understanding what brings you to therapy, and identifying what you hope to gain from the process. We will discuss your current concerns, relevant history, strengths, supports, and goals at a pace that feels comfortable. You will also have space to ask questions and determine whether my approach feels like a good fit. Together, we will begin developing a treatment plan that reflects your needs and priorities.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

I bring warmth, patience, curiosity, and a grounded, nonjudgmental presence to each session. I listen carefully and create space for clients to explore difficult experiences without feeling rushed or judged. At the same time, I am willing to ask thoughtful questions, gently challenge unhelpful patterns, and offer practical tools when appropriate. My approach balances compassion with accountability and draws upon extensive experience with mindfulness, trauma-informed care, emotional regulation, and supporting people through complex life circumstances.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

My ideal client may be experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship difficulties, emotional overwhelm, or a significant life transition. They may feel stuck in recurring patterns, disconnected from themselves, or unsure how to move forward. They are open to exploring how past experiences affect the present and want to develop greater self-awareness, emotional regulation, healthier relationships, and practical coping skills. They do not need to have everything figured out—only a willingness to engage honestly and collaboratively in therapy.

My treatment methods

Trauma Informed Care

I approach therapy with an understanding of how past experiences can affect emotions, relationships, behaviors, and the nervous system. I prioritize safety, collaboration, choice, and helping clients better understand their responses without judgment.

Mindfulness-Based Therapy

I help clients develop greater awareness of their thoughts, emotions, and physical responses without immediately reacting to them. Mindfulness can help clients feel more grounded, regulate emotions, and respond to difficult experiences with greater intention.

EMDR

I use EMDR with appropriate clients to help process distressing experiences and reduce the emotional intensity connected to them. Treatment is individualized and includes preparation, stabilization, and careful attention to each client’s readiness and goals.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I help clients identify patterns in their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors and explore how these patterns may be contributing to current difficulties. Together, we work toward developing healthier perspectives and practical strategies for change.

Motivational Interviewing

I use a collaborative and nonjudgmental approach to help clients explore uncertainty about change, identify what matters most to them, and strengthen their own motivation to move toward meaningful goals.
