You are on a path toward healing. I would love to partner with you and bring my training and experience to support your healing and growth. My work as a counselor began 10 years ago in Colorado. I worked for a transitional housing program to help clients overcome addiction and other barriers to stable housing.
I work from Narrative, Existential, and Strengths-based modalities to help you find meaning in suffering and to create a new narrative.
I worked in a jail as a part of a rehabilitation program to reduce recidivism. I worked for a community mental health center with clients transitioning out of hospitalization or incarceration. I worked with adolescents in a community-based program to treat addiction and other systemic barriers to well-being. When I moved to California I worked for a family resource center to provide trauma counseling to children, adolescents, and families. I worked with individuals and couples, led process groups, and taught parenting classes. Now I have a private practice and am engaged in the wonderful healing community of Nevada County.
First session
My hope is that clients will feel empowered after meeting with me. I believe you have the strength and ability to make the changes you want for your life. I see it as my job to create a space for you to realize those strengths in the ways that you need.
Strengths
I specialize in treating anxiety, depression, and PTSD. I also help clients who have suffered trauma and loss. My strength as a counselor is my ability to create space for healing work. I will hear your story with compassion and partner with you to discover the next steps on your journey.
