LMFT, 11 years of experience
I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist dedicated to supporting adults navigating challenges related to anxiety, life transitions, depression, anger management, relational conflicts, work-life balance, addiction, grief and loss, low self-esteem, and issues related to gender and sexual orientation. My training is in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), which enhances clients' awareness of the interplay between thoughts, behaviors, and emotions. My overall approach is client-centered and collaborative, with an ongoing effort to tailor each session to each client's specific and unique needs. I’m here to provide a safe and supportive environment where my clients can be their true selves.
Following an initial consultation call to confirm we’re a good fit, we’ll have an intake session where you’ll have the opportunity to share your story as well as what you hope to achieve in therapy. We’ll work together to figure this out! In our time together, we'll focus on your goals to improve your functioning and help you become the best possible version of yourself. I'm here to support you every step of the way on your journey toward healing and self-discovery.
Sustainable change happens when the therapeutic space is supportive and safe. I practice reflective listening and use empathy to create an environment where clients feel comfortable pushing themselves toward their goals. For challenges big and small, folks can expect me to remain calm, patient, and non-judgmental.
I work with adults who are managing various challenges such as depression, anxiety, life transitions, and low self-esteem. Whether that means working through trauma, identifying and strengthening coping skills, or setting personal growth goals, I aim to work together with each client to create a plan that feels empowering and attainable.
My goal is to create a warm, welcoming, and non-judgmental space where you feel safe to explore and grow. I believe in your strengths and will work with you from a strength-based perspective to help you navigate life's challenges. With training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), I also offer tools and strategies to help shift unhelpful thought patterns and promote lasting change.

I felt a connection with Katherine, and that she genuinely cares about my well being. It is not the easiest feat to meet a therapist that you genuinely connect with. She challenges me at times and gets me out of my mental loops and black and white thinking. What I also appreciate about finding her is that she has a lot of experience with same sex relationships. Her experience with same sex relationships also makes me feel very safe and understood.
