Hello! I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with credentials in Kentucky and Tennessee. In Kentucky, I am also licensed as a Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor. I earned my Master's degree from Lindsey Wilson College, where I graduated with 4.0 and academic honors. I have worked in inpatient, outpatient, and in community-based settings. My journey in behavioral health began over eight years ago, and since then, I have been dedicated to helping individuals navigate life's challenges and build healthier more fulfilling lives. I specialize in working with adults facing anxiety, stress, substance use concerns, and life transitions, helping people regain a sense of control and calm. More importantly I am passionate about creating a supportive and encouraging space where you can feel heard, understood and empowered.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

I am looking forward to meeting you and starting on this journey. Our first session will be an introduction, giving us the opportunity to know each other and discuss what has led you here. We will talk about your current challenges, explore your strengths, and begin gathering the information needed to develop a plan that aligns with your goals. My approach is collaborative and tailored to your needs. We will work together to create meaningful steps towards progress. You don’t have to have it all figured out before we start—just taking this step is enough.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

What makes me unique as a counselor is my ability to truly meet people where they are. I know that reaching out for support isn’t always easy, and I strive to create a space where you feel heard, understood, and empowered to move forward. With dual licensure in Kentucky and Tennessee (LPCC, LCADC, LPC-MHSP), I have extensive experience helping adults navigate challenges related to substance use disorders, anxiety, depression, and major life transitions. I’ve worked with individuals in recovery, those facing suicidal thoughts, and people working to rebuild their careers while managing mental health concerns. Through this, I’ve seen firsthand that real change happens when you have the right support and strategies in place. My approach is direct yet compassionate—I don’t just listen; I actively help you develop a plan that fits your life. Whether you're here to work through personal struggles, gain clarity, or build healthier coping skills, we’ll work together in a way that makes sense for you.

Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.

I love working with adult clients who are motivated and driven to make positive changes in their life. They are ready to invest themselves and committed to working through challenges such as anxiety, stress, substance use concerns, or navigating major life transitions like career changes, or relationship adjustments. If you are someone who feels ready to take control of your emotions and start living a more balanced, fulfilling life, I would love to work with you. Whether you have been struggling with constant worry, facing big life decisions, or seeking to break free from unhealthy patterns, together, we can develop practical strategies and coping skills to create meaningful change. Take the first step towards healing and growth by reaching out today. I am here to help guide you on your journey. Therapy with me isn't about judgement or "fixing" you-it's about working together to help you feel more balanced, confident, and in control.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

For the past 8 years I have successfully used CBT to help clients break free from negative thought patterns that contribute to anxiety, stress, and self-doubt. By identifying unhelpful thinking and developing healthier coping strategies, clients gain practical lasting tools to manage their emotions and daily challenges. CBT is highly effective in creating real change, and I have seen firsthand how it impowers individuals to regain control, build confidence, and improve overall well-being.

Person-centered (Rogerian)

Throughout my care, I have practiced Person-Centered Therapy. Person-Centered Therapy creates a safe, supportive space where clients feel heard, valued, and understood. This approach empowers individuals to take the lead in their healing journey while I provide guidance, encouragement, and unconditional positive regard. By focusing on each client's unique strengths and experiences, I help them build self-awareness, confidence and the ability to navigate life's challenges. Person-centered Therapy fosters deep personal growth, helping clients feel more in control, resilient, and empowered to create meaningful change.

Motivational Interviewing

In our sessions, I use Motivational Interviewing (MI) to help you explore your goals, identify barriers, and strengthen your motivation for change. Rather than telling you what to do, I guide the conversation in a way that helps you uncover your own reasons for making positive changes. By listening actively, asking open-ended questions, and reflecting on your thoughts, I support you in building confidence and developing a plan that aligns with your values and strengths.

Trauma Informed Care

In my practice, I use a trauma-informed approach to ensure that you feel safe, heard, and empowered throughout our work together. I recognize the impact of past experiences on your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors, and I create a supportive space where healing can happen at your own pace. By focusing on trust, collaboration, and your strengths, I help you develop coping strategies that promote resilience and personal growth while avoiding re-traumatization.

Psychoeducation

In our sessions, I use psychoeducation to help you better understand your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors, as well as the impact of stress, trauma, and mental health conditions. I provide information and practical tools tailored to your needs, empowering you to make informed decisions about your well-being. By increasing your awareness and knowledge, my goal is to help you build confidence in managing challenges and creating lasting change.
