Theresia Lefang
Board-certified PMHNP dedicated to compassionate, evidence-based mental health care across the lifespan, with extensive experience in outpatient psychiatry, crisis intervention, medication management, and collaborative behavioral healthcare across Texas, California, Arizona, and Kansas.
I see my clients as the experts of their lives, and building a therapeutic alliance is how we will work together towards achieving mental wellness.
I believe there should be no stigma when it comes to mental health, and that vulnerability is a great strength. While I have a long career in the medical field (26+ years), focusing on psychiatry and mental health has always been a passion of mine. I see my clients as the experts of their lives, and building a therapeutic alliance is how we will work together towards achieving mental wellness.

Ideal clients
Mental health issues related to depression- mild, moderate, or severe; acute or chronic; any type of insomnia; anxiety - mild, moderate, or severe; panic disorder, and all. Attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, using stimulants or non-stimulants. The treatment goal with each patient is individualized and tailored to the patient's needs and wants. I like to incorporate both medication management and therapy.
Treatment methods
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a practical, short-term form of talk therapy designed to help you understand how your thoughts, feelings, and actions are connected. Instead of focusing heavily on the past, CBT centers on your current challenges, teaching you to recognize unhelpful thought patterns—like assuming the worst or falling into all-or-nothing thinking—and replace them with more balanced perspectives. Through goal setting and collaborative exercises often practiced both in and out of sessions, you learn effective coping skills to better manage anxiety, stress, or other emotional hurdles at your own pace.
